It's the Touch IC connection issue.. Same issue with my 6 plus 128gb.. Out of warranty so just have to live with it till ip7..

Any of u know of any shop that could do micro-BGA board level repair work to replace the Touch IC?

As u know the problem lies from the Ball Grid Array on the Touch IC chip.. It's a manufacturing flaw by Apple as the chip has bad connections to the board.. U can't reflow the BGA as the contact pads might have oxidized.. So the only feasable solution is to replace the chip as it comes pre-balled new..
