I have an old iphone 3GS here, I wants to update the very old jail broken iOS3 in it to iOS 5/6.. I had tried to google every where and found a lot solution. I still can't find a website that can lead me a step by step guides for me or either more details to update it.

I'm downloading the 780MB iPhone2,1_6.0.1_10A523_Restore.ipsw now, do u all have any recommended website for me to read the guides? I tried search in LYN also but I failed to get the info i needs.

its jail broken, i had tried to used ituned but failed
how to see whether its local set or not? i got it as a gift from someone.

somehow i dno't wish to upgrade it but those apps requirement getting higher n higher till it forced me to upgrade it eg. whatapps.
