My iPhone 8+ also having the same problem. But mine isn't hyper sensitive. It is not registering my fingerprint some times and it is rather irritating to key in password everytime.
Checked for the price to repair and omg... I sell this phone and top up abit can get new phone already. But phone still in good condition so don't know what to do right now.
