I wanna ask something regarding about my ip4s.
The problem is my phone don hav sound went press the volume button its only come out the ringtone icon. The icon below don hav the dot. My text msg, keyboard sound, whatsapp msg, etc and all kinds of video i open also don hav sound but one thing is incoming call got sound. Whats the problem? My phone still have warranty from apple store malaysia. Do u guys think i can replace a new unit regarding this problem?
I"ll try restore to new fresh ios also its the same.
Running ios 6.01.

My sister's iphone 3GS 's screen backlit light has been behaving erraticly recently.Most of the time, it doesnt come on anymore and the screen is all dark. But sometimes, it will come back on again for a short while, after charging it. I tried to reboot it and update software to ios 6, but the problem is not solved. She said she did not drop it or had water contact etc.

Send it for warranty claim since its still under warranty.

Lcd would cost you 80 - 150, back light coil replacement would cost you above 150.

So it is either LCD or the backlit coil, yah not both. Because at first she thought have to repair both. , if its both would cost about rm300.

Try to reformat again for the wifi problem. A good quality of 4s screen is going to cost you rm200 at least. Don't fall for cheap grades quality of parts. Not worth the price at all.

Most of the time it would be either one unless the damage was really bad.

My iphone 4s is also water damaged but dried and repaired already can be used. Problem now is that battery deplete very fast, is this due to battery or main board, how do I check? If it is main board then I believe would be expensive rite compared to just battery replacement.

i got a prob. my phone have a "no service" after using it like 5 minutes, if i restart it, the service/carrier will be ok back. after 3-5 minutes, the problem keep on occurred back. can u help me why?
the problem happens when i updated to ios 6.0.1. i keep on restore it back to original ipsw, but this prob still occurred. can someone told me why.

I guess your board has shorted since you mentioned water damage before. Anyhow try replacing battery first, if does not help then most prolly due to the board.

Fixing board is not easy task. Can be due to power IC chip. A single chip on the board cost you RM200 at least to fix already.

your iPhone is officially unlocked ? Try press "reset network settings". Its under general > about > Reset

yes. it is unlocked. already done that, still got this problem.

Do a downgrade. Downgrade to IOS5 if you have. Many people face similar issue with IOS6.
