SO weird, never encounter this before. Anyway, maybe you try to downgrade software see how it goes.
The volume up button functioning? When press it can see volume bar going up or remain/

yes it work , cause when turn off the silent the volume bar is full m have to adjust the volume bar and it become normal , and i restore and didnt put anything software or contact , it still same , so i dunno izzit hardware or not

3) how much would it cost to change the whole glass ?

You can but make sure they are reliable.

Price range from rm100++ - rm500++ depends on where and what type of screen you are replacing.

Hi Sifus,

I got a 3GS (jb with which ios dont know)
last time the battery is empty and cannot boot anymore.
Try to use boot only still cannot.....the screen just show image of battery with red bar (no battery) and charged overnight also same.

Is it battery faulty and need to change battery?

Having trouble with auto-brightness on my 4s

Last time before ios6 i used to turn on auto-bright so that when i went to sleep the instant i turn my phone on the screen would go dim, but after ios6 when i turn it on the auto-brightness didnt do its job it seems to stay on the brightness i choose.......

Need to do testing to fine out. Not till plug in another battery.

Try the following which seems to have worked for me:

1. Turn on auto-brightness
2. Take you phone someplace very dark and unlock it and then go and manually set the brightness to your preference.
3. Lock the screen.
4. Go someplace very bright (put the phone underneath a lamp or something) and unlock it and then go and manually set the brightness to your preference.

You want to change the baseband chip or downgrade ? Changing baseband chip can be done. Downgrading baseband not all models.

I post on behalf of my wife. I recently updated her iPhone 4 to iOS 6 a few days ago. No problem. But this morning suddenly the phone become hot..very hot. Then the temperature warning screen appear and she has to shutdown. After a few minutes, the phone cool off and she turn it on back. Phone a bit laggy when loading all the icon during start up. Then it starts getting hot back and then warning screen appear again..shutdown again. Repeat. Whats the problem eh?
