QUOTE(LuQEE @ Apr 22 2012, 10:55 PM) ^ riparium... and nice one Can I ask what type of branch you are using for you tank? I'm refering to the picture in a few replies above. And also, where do you get it from?im still looking for cheap Cynops orientalis.. used to have lots of them nowadays, their price is too high or no stock hoho I'm using a root of a small tree (dunno what kind of tree) I found near a pond. I washed it and placed it into the tank. Now, there are a few tiny, translucent mushrooms growing on it. So far, everything is okay. The newts don't eat them so I leave the mushrooms alone. |

QUOTE(genielee_83 @ Apr 24 2012, 07:17 AM) HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! QUOTE(genielee_83 @ Apr 24 2012, 09:53 AM) A tank that big should be used for a whole community of salamanders or poison arrow frogs. Or monster fishes. In the future, my house will have aquariums for walls. Added on April 24, 2012, 12:46 pmMy next project will look something like this, but with a larger water area: ![]() This post has been edited by beer8bottles: Apr 24 2012, 12:46 PM |

QUOTE(broken_string @ Apr 24 2012, 01:25 PM) QUOTE(LuQEE @ Apr 24 2012, 01:32 PM) Yes it is. QUOTE(broken_string @ Apr 24 2012, 08:03 PM) tat is as good as useless I've a 3ft x 1.5 x 1ft tank with 6mm glass, non-curve tank. Is there any other way to reinforce the tank without using front to back braces? Or without using any braces at all? (the stupid braces prevent big, one-pieced driftwood from being placed into the tank...)to be safe, i would suggest u to buy two 4ft x 2inch 6mm glass and silicon it at the front and back. u can remove the horizontal brace coz it doesn't help much. since you are keeping strong predatory fish like toman which may grew big, its better to be safe than sorry. |

QUOTE(LuQEE @ Apr 24 2012, 09:28 PM) but mine is 4mm Yup, yup. I guess I didn't join ealier because I didn't know what category my tank fell under. To me, it was a half filled tank with some plants and driftwood. It's good to know it was a riparium. pity this nice thread is dead before By the way, this thread is so, so, so, so ~"poison-ing"~ In a good way. |

Salamander and Newt Group disappeared?
Anyhow, Irene has Paddletail salamanders going for RM 13.80 each. I also spotted an axolotl on the counter. It's going for Rm300+. Cute lil' fella. |
