Got my AU Mk IIs (partial) from Hong Kong... verdict: HT made (too) many compromises and short-cuts. It's more of a prop... than an action figure.
Example: 1.The entire Torso is (mostly) a 2 piece part. 2. Limited leg twist @ the hips, inhibited by design, lap armor cover/internal parts 3. Though the single knee joint can bend 90 degrees, it partially inhibited by the lower leg, though I suspect can be adjusted. It feels like a patch work of new and old parts, that does not work quite right... instead of a completely redesign as BD Mk.3 was to the first Mk.3 This post has been edited by BeastX: Feb 9 2012, 03:27 PM |

QUOTE(zapirwin @ Feb 10 2012, 10:06 PM) Err i dont think its PVC It'll be mostly PVC, hence the cheaper price. Koto unlike HT you usually can pick-up after release without PO and sometimes it'll be cheaper too, discounted/bargain bin |

Fixing floppy Mk.4 and 6 legs:
QUOTE(schokolade;4137852) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Based on the descript and pics I did my leg dissection for repair... however the cutting of 1/4 of the joint was not needed as with some prying and proper positioning you can slot the joint in. By cutting a portion of the ring you actually loose some contact with the rubber o-ring that provide resistance. p.s the lower joint was the broken one on mine, Where you need to slot-ine with the 1/4 cut mod. My dissected Mk. 6 leg: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
