Tats a nice bark scorpion you have there.

From the looks of it, somekind of Centruroides sp juvie. That long blady tail usualy belong to them centrus. Could also turn out to be Tityus sp. Sorry colorationvery vague so i cannot comment.
Try to dry up ur substrate a bit and add a piece of vertical wood for it to climb.

BY THE WAY, FIRSTLY U SHOULD KNOW WAT YOU ARE BUYING INSTEAD OF BUYING FIRST AND ASKING LATER. YOU NEED TO READ UP ON MATERIALS AND CARESHEETS ALSO SO THAT YOU CAN PROVIDE THE BEST HOUSING FOR THEM.

Yo walton.
The black substrate are exotera black sand...trust me, it dun look good on the australis. I got another packet of JBL desert sand which is much finer and softer. I can see the S.maurus swimmin in it  laugh.gif About the tail thingy, the last picture is of my male australis so i guess u won't see any inflation on the side profile  tongue.gif
Will try to catch a pix of the white spot on the females membrane.

About the substrate again, i was thinkin of watering it to harden it up so that the bugs can burrow without it caving in on them...

my condolences... perhaps the substrate was too dry?  anyway, it's hard to say with wild caught specimens. Should always be prepared for the worst especially when dealing with wild caught scorps.
