What is the minimum requirement??STPM results muz be at least 2 for the cgpa??if less cant enter??

If cgpa lower than 2, your chance of entering local uni is quite slim....& most important is, you must pass pengajian am...

It is more about .... than qualifications. If you want to get the course you want, you need at least straight As, but to get doctor course, you need at least 5As. At least >3 cgpa to get in public uni if you are not bumiputera, unless you are willing to study pertanian course.

The minimum requirement is 2.0 but the cut off point is higher than that. Lesser than 2.0 no way.

With pointer 2.0, you can take very very unpopular course in any IPTA......sometimes you even need to appeal to get the place......

for IPTAs, 2.00 is the absolute minimum.

also depends on subject relevance AND contemporary competition.

i. subject relevance, as in, if u're taking economics, and u score A for economics in STPM, u stand a chance even if ur other subjects suck. especially when the rest of the people didnt take economics, or scored subjects other than economics.

ii. contemporary competition is something people always overlook. certain courses are so sought after, that in a particular year, people just give up applying and just didnt bother. and that year, u'll see 2.50 entering engineering at top universities. which becomes bahan utk people to complain. sedangkan it is salah sendiri kenapa tak apply in the first place.

if u r malay, please put some of ur choices to pursue degree in uitm. mesti dapat but only course u dont know yet

4.0 for chinese to enter critical courses or 3.9 if miracle happens! so yeah...dont think of local if u never intend to strive the best for it

all sad but true... main reason I'm being a coward and avoiding STPM and IPTA.

dont worry. if u score in ur stpm u should get the ipta. plus, if u r in science or economy stream. i was in UM before lots of chinese from matric n stpm get into my faculty which is engineering but must get 3.5++.. stpm should be lower i think. lots of chinese in accountancy faculty too.

Also depends on the competition you apply that year. If the competition for the subject your apply for is low, then you got a higher chance to get in, so its about luck as well.

as i said, nowadays sometimes students doesnt really care about the course that they got as long as they managed to enter ipta. but if u want to pursue studies that u prefer, u must score then

I've been to UM on several occasions this year.. i realised the faculty of accountancy got a buttload of Chinese people's faces on the info board but why should I care I ain't even gonna make it to UM if i took STPM anyways.

is better for u to loan PTPTN and go to private uni, it would be better
