just change oem air filter to works/simota

rpm lower abit 2.1rpm from the usual 2.5 at 80km/h

maybe get better mileage after this

Better airflow can lower engine revs for same speed? By so much summore?
Logically in modern ECU-controlled cars, better airflow wld b compensated by ECU with increase in fuel injection to maintain A/F ratio for optimum performance. Correct?
So result wld b more of a free-er revving engine, not a lower revving one. True?

Then one wld tend 2rev more & higher, resulting in higher "uknowat" which most users fear!! Haha!

@Home, use powerful vacuum cleaner... Suck fr top of filter &/ blow fr bottom. Also vac air filter box itself.
Best, of course, is to blow using air compressor if can get access to one!

I do so halfway between services to maintain optimum filtration.

ps. Regular maintenance is Key to a "Happy" & "Healthy" engine! No?

You know why Proton keep release new version for Saga?

Because ppl keep compare it with Myvi.

When BLM is released, that time is based on 'affordable sedan' requirement, cost <RM40k....then ppl who buy BLM will said why buy same category Myvi for more than 40k, not worth la, bla bla bla...

Since there is comparison, ppl will say Myvi have airbag la, ABS+EBD la, rear power windows la, side mirror with turning light la...bla bla...

Then FL and FLX released....

Ppl who buy 45-50k Saga will say why go to buy something in same category for 60k...

But all of them has forgot Saga is meant for 'basic affordable sedan' that should be less accessories and cheaper price...

So for those poor fresh grad like me last time, they won't be able to find a new car which less than 40k anymore...

Who has cause this? The so called 'rich' customer...trust me, the demand and requirement will go on one, will never stop even after 1.6CVT is released...

Also re @coolkwc; @sg999 : IMHO it's much re-assuring & more free of teething probs if one gets an earlier launched model of any car make.

If my guess is correct, water probably seeped down fr between bonnet top edge and sealing rubber at edge of plastic cover of air vents below wipers.
Still caused by poor seal by that rubber seal...correct?

envy la flipmode, so low rpm at that speed, without cvt at 140km/h already feel annoyed by the engine + wind sound.
