Official statements on Transformer Prime:

1) ASUS have begun to ship units on 12/19 and will continue to fulfill online and in-store orders.

2) ASUS started filling the inventory pipelines this past week for our new Eee Pad Transformer Prime and will continue to do so on an expedited basis for the foreseeable future. We will reach normal inventory levels in January for the North American market based on current orders and forecasts. Based on forecasted supply schedules to our valued partners we expect pre-order allocation fulfillment to occur shortly and online or in-store availability in the very near future. We will continue to work closely with our partners to fill customer orders as quickly as possible.
that's only for US, but most likely their production line will go in full force  soon i think. takes awhile to ramp up production i guess.

Anyone knows if it's adviseable to get a unit from Taiwan? Will the warranty work? Any differences between Taiwan set and Malaysia set?

what's the verdict? awfully quiet, just in case you did not notice, it's already 28th december bro, so what is happening on our orders? the eerie quietness from you does not bode well for the promised delivery in 1st week of Jan 2012, does it?

I just thought of something that you might wanna check. Will our Dock come together with the Tablet? i heard some other pre-order sites in states they got their tablets but not the dock. Not sure if Asus malaysia have any info on this yet though.

Unfortunately you're in Penang.. I don't prefer shipping for gadgets like these... prefer to test first before buying to avoid hassle of exchanging later etc.
