I have a SGS II GT-i9100G here.
It's on 2.3.6 Android OS(come with it already).
Modem is i9100GDZKJ2.

I can't have a GPS Lock at all.
I tried to use the GPS Aids and the GPS Status & Toolbox to get the AGPS or the XTRA Data. But, both failed too.

I even tried to open up the TestLBS thingy by pressing *#3214789650# or *#*#3214789650#*#*... The TestLBS thingy doesn't show up at all...
Why?

Any idea and solutions for this?

since my G updated to 2.3.6 , the phone often hang especially when using the camera... if i knew this would happen, i'll not update it and stay with 2.3.4 

I think you need to factory reset it or something. A few user had the same problem before.

If I'm not mistaken la the new update got conflicts with the previous one something like that. like you need to do full wipe before installing new rom but don't just take my word for it. Should wait for what other G user says.

Mine has went over 50C. No problem. Still good.

That tweak have been around for quite some time already. I have always implemented it in all the rom i used and most chef also uses it. Even kernels like siyah are putting it in their tweaks. No harm having it but not sure if it really helps.

Batista may not have it in his rom but does abyss kernel implement it ...

My phone charging last night was already 46C.

Please be informed that this is BATTERY TEMP. Not CPU or other hardware temperature. Our device and most device got no CPU temp sensor. Your batt temp maybe high especially charging or heavy usage (such as games or antutu) but only because we are drawing lots of current to/from the batt. It has nothing to do with your cpu usage or overloading the cpu.

So this temp can only be an indication and cannot be totally trusted if you want to protect the cpu.

Galaxy Nexus is just great for the 720p display

(if compared to the SGS II)

btw, SGS II is getting ICS  anyway

Yours is 3G speed?

prepaid 3G they capped at 384kbps at most time

postpaid capped at 768kbps, sometimes will go up but not exceeding 1 Mbps

for prepaid I think not more than 512 kbps,

these have been stated in their website already

It's a freaking good deal but the sim is just for data only, so you can't make calls/sms

Do you have some apps or power saving feature that switch it off. Cos by default it would always stay on.

why the g battery drop so fast...wifi off, data off, all third party app force stop, only stock app running, the batt still drop 20 % in just 2-3 hour....

Using another charger will help to charge faster.

my sgs 2 will turn off by itself. happened 6 times since i got the phone last month.

Why don't you just enable packet data. Set APN type to mms only if your not using data plan.

Nah its cause samsung didn't release the sources. I think we will get the official ICS from Samsung faster than these guys.

In the APN type you can set it to either "Internet" OR "Internet + MMS" OR "MMS" only

Digi also. I mean you click Internet to enter the settings. Scroll down to the bottom, and you can change the apn type.

Go into the internet setting and click on apn type.

If not mistaken the phone is now smart enough to stop charging once it detect that the battery is fully charged. So no worries

Hey, I use Juice Defender Ultimate..
And I am currently using the stock battery..
Normal usage, some games, internet, facebook..Downloading...
1 day and 13 hours without charging...
Left 9% of battery life..

Yes I actually do that, during weekends or if battery dies.

I Have 2 charges, 1 at work and 1 at home. Normally will charge at work.

Although the G model does not heat up fast, and got 2 years warranty, as compared to the no-G model..
But I still feel cheated by Samsung...
I thought I had bought the best phone last month... =D
But only when I look at the box of the samsung at the back of the box..

Yeah, people you are right..
I just feel very EMO..
But then, life goes on..

I felt cheated for one reason..
I did the Antutu Benchmark any times..
And only once a while it will state 1200MHz...

Other than that..
Its only 1008MHz..
Means that if somebody ask you what is your CPU speed..
We should tell them 1GHz..
Because most of the time it will not go above 1GHz...

So now, its 1GHz, dual core..

Just tell us in detail our battery usage.
