hi guys - i've been seriously thinking about swiftlet farming at palm oil estates in Perak, i was thinking since there's land and why not build a swiftlet house. My first project is going to start small due to budget.

The first point to ponder would be, are the estates have got swiftlets and worth investing? Can the sifus here give some pointers? would be great if PM me to discuss further.. Thanks.

My dad got a birdhouse wanted to sell come with land, anybody interested?

Location: Pahang, kuala lipis (famous for swiflet, in the middle of palm oil estate)

Land: 1 acre plus

Building: 3 stories

Utilities: Water and Electricity

Revamp: Just done 3 weeks ago by very well know consultant "Pak Harry", previously 100+ existing nests. The revamp is quite major, now set to go with all new with 6 cctv, all new wiring, etc.

Reason: Old age and im not interested to take over very dirty job.

Price: Around RM800k (Nego, if you ok with the bird shits all those)

I just sold my 2kg birdnest around rm4k per kg lump sum..
My birdhouse is in Sarawak..
Haha..that why i need to know the current price before i sell nest out...
If we wan to protect the price..you should create 1 social media group for us farmer so we can know the latest price before we sell it out..

Hi all, Singaporean here and planning to build a swiftlet house with a relative in Sabah.  Just met the contractor who tested with his sound at the site.  Attracted some 150 birds.  His quote was RM55/sq ft for just the building.  This being in agricultural land in Sabah.  He is simply replicating a consultant's design for a 2-sty 20x80 BH that he had built before.  Apparently there are no government permits required or engineer's "chop" here.  Is this how BH are built in these parts of Malaysia?

What's the current status / stage / progress?

May or may not be your own BH problem since there were satisfactory growth throughout the previous years. New competitors rise up in recent years? Nearby vegetation area got developed? Have you checked and changed deteriorated tweeters? 6 years is time to change.
