Bloody hell... How could thing happen? This most serious case so far. Deng. Now I better plan to change. Could it be that tire lost pressure and was running flat and side walls gave way? Did you feel your car handled differently moments before this happen? Pulling one side?

Dm3, can you move any links to other sites at the front page to the last line. Any reference out from Lyn should be either last line or omitted. How come did not include PIOC link too. Its after all Ins official club. Must be neutral like you claim ma.smile.gif Thanks.

Any continental tyre shop will do, but they need to submit photo and written claim form, might take 2-3 weeks, you have a solid case of product defect here, lucky you also made it out of this without issue..

Anyhow the tire should not have detached in two like that, product quality issue..

I wont be going for any continential tires in future, not after so many cases,

Thank goodness we have this forum to share..

i guess you're right, it still shouldn't have split in two so easy, but could it be because of the weight of the car and the high profile tires unable to withstand the stress ??? (when flat)
but oh wells all the better reason for new LEGS
