Just installed Stronghold 3, I ran it and it was like damn lag. Even whenthe firefly studio logo appeared(nothing fancy, it just fades into view) it lags. I have Stronghold Crusader and it is very smooth but with S3 it gets very lag... The whole menu is also very sluggish. Mouseover and it takes time for a button to just glow, clicking it also, sound first then animation follows.. Could it be my specs in my sig? I can run Stronghold Crusader very smoothly with my rig and its awesome but then now even Stronghold 3's menu can't handle

And possibly to change the CPU since your soon to be obtained GPU (6770) would be bottlenecked by the CPU.

I don't think AMD Athlon II X4 635 is that bad. It's nearly comparable to the Q8400 Quad Core in gaming performance. HD 6770 isn't exactly a very high end GPU also.

Even for menu my GPU can't handle? ok.. Very hard for me to upgrade my proc, most also upto Athlon II X4 635 only ><

get a gpu and a extra stick of 2gb ram

crusader is in 2d...stronghold 3 is in 3d...and still very buggy. suggest you wait for a month or two for more patches to be able to play correctly.

Get at least 4670 can play already. Rm140 170 can get on sale

HD6770 coming next monday... getting extra 4GB stick soon also

Try your HD 6770 first when it arrives next Mon, then report back your findings. Fingers crossed, it will fix your issue in Stronghold 3.

Athlon II x4 635 is actually still good enough for handling games, when paired with a powerful GPU.

Added on November 23, 2011, 4:25 pmWell I finally got into the game.. got like 1-5 fps at lowest res and settings.. Got back out into the menu and everything was alot smoother lol.. Tried to play again and this time the game loaded instantly.. gameplay still around 1-5fps so I'm guessing it's my GPU now
