i really really wanna try out the track, however i dont feel like paying to race, and wear out my brand new tires >_<

Bro, how can you gain new learning experiences & track knowledge if you don't invest a little. I'm also going, sakit to spend the money, but learning more about how your car can handle under extreme driving conditions (track scenario). Come lah, test power.

Nah your not fail ... AD08 new piece no need for that... try find 2nd hand ones.. can find.. KL Much more easier compare to me here in JB ... i always source for parts in kl ... had them to post down       

Yup no worries if anything wrong with ur car.. we have a few 4g1 members who are mech's that will be there on that day im sure each n every1 of us will help out .. accident ? ... Other than driver lost control... there wont be any... all are friends.. wont drive like a bull yeah.. 

no need to burn your wallet to get those advan ad08, my 1st track day i went with my 13inches tires, which was about 2weeks old. Went there with about 100% thread. Came back with only 20% left in the front and 40% left in the back. Im still using the tires now. 

And dont worry about no experience, i also had no experience racing/tracking my own car. I get it when u say u wanna keep up with the rest, The previous trackday, i was in the 1.3 category, Against skywalker, fstrader, dope, amir and notoriez. Supprisingly, if u keep ur cool and follow the lines, u can surely keep up with them, but surely cannot overtake them la. Their car all modded. Mine is stock only. 

no need track, i already know a weakness of my car's ass always buang if i high speed corners

on a more serious note, no, im not really into mods as you probably know. just more of a "needed x, do y, get motivated more for z". i began my interest in cars because of ICE, and i have a "need for speed" because of my interest in cars. and now i am improving its stability/braking because i dont want to die while savoring said speed. i still prioritize more on comfort, and even should i go for the semi slicks/other UHP tires and goto track, i still wouldn't use anything other than a c.drive 2, or god forbid an advan DB for my everyday ride.

hell, in fact on track day should i go, air con + my music, and just enjoy the ride. defo not going windows open and hear the loud rev/exhaust sounds others are making lol.

and yea, i get what you mean, not many seem to go yokohama in malaysia apparently. more towards the more famous brands like michelin/goodyear/bridgestone, then maybe continental for comfort. much less going for yokohama's FLAGSHIP max performance tires, that they so proudly claim "the world's fastest street tires". see, im a sucker for good marketing, that is good marketing, with all the interviews, youtube videos (damn you yokohama australia/japan, yokohama US is actually rather, meh lol) its just, yeah, im "sold" LOL!

anyways thanks for the brands/models, i am definitely having a lookout for those. 220/pc for new semi-slicks is indeed a damn good bargain

THANK YOU for your advice. i DEFINITELY do NOT want my brand new c.drive 2 to get wasted over 1 track day. not to mention there are feedback that the tires WILL lose some of its comfort/noise reduction when its thread are about worn out. not something i want to experience just weeks after getting them :/

lets see, in example, neova ad08 has this super grip w/e silica compound, and from its website, the tires are meant for super horsepower cars, and by that, i meant the likes of:

considering how you describe your tread-wear, i definitely am getting another set of tires just to track. like i said, im not f***ing up these new comfort tires which has no place in the tracks

however with all things considered, prolly best it test waters with cheaper tires be it old/new. i think the neova is just an overkill for a car like mine. too grippy no torque/horsepower to make use of the grip, pointless right? somemore it is being said by you, and notoriez that dato sagor track has harsh tarmac, no point burning a fortune to waste them flagship semi slicks on it aye? lol

Beat 'magat' and fix certain hull integrity damage finally
