the thing is....the term 'A/F tuning' every mech can do no matter who wor, they charge like 20 buck also claiming by nose...

the the confusion is why i need to let the mentioned 'person' above to tune for like 70 bucks? with the same work....what's the difference?

that's the point ><.....AFAIK a/f tuning is like pusing few screws and some say just they reset the screw position to default setting only...so nothing had been done? no testing?

uncle fred told me he also reset the a/f but he TUNE the 'main jet' which i have no idea about

so the question lies with" Car Tuning or A/F Tuning " which one is it and how they gonna do on individual topic

sorry for my amateurish question...realli confuse lo... ><

heres the figure(credits to uncle fred)
user posted image

if you want to tune, turn the a/f screw(obviously it's a flat surface so u need a playar or sharp head tools to twist)

turn in the screw to a point where you can see ur rpm drop and engine like want to dead

in that moment you can go FEEL ur exhaust "popping pattern" will like pop, pop pop and more 'impact' to your palm

then slowly turn the a/f screw outwards to the firewall, little by little until you feel the engine stabilize more

do it little by little and feel the exhaust.

if the exhaust 'gushing air' out felt more even(lesser popping/lesser impact to palm)...then you are almost there

just my personal experience notworthy.gif

cannot compare to sifues tongue.gif

Added on March 3, 2012, 11:43 amremember: when you take out the intake case, don't unplug the *dunno what called* air hose connected to the gold pin of the round case, jsut hang it aside still plugging into the gold pin at the bottom

Yes i've seen the original article for this and done this... And the af screw is really easy to turn if you know how.. A small flat screwdriver or modified spark plug will help.

My issue is, when engine feel like dying and i turn the screw outwards, the rpm goes up very quickly to 1.1k... So i should turn the screw back in again until 800-900 rpm?

u/people got mess with ur idle screw before?
