i am a full time dual caster due to the stun effect...
and it pack more of a punch compare to double single cast...
the only reason i would double single cast is when i use 1 ward + 1 destro spell combo...

nt really usable in battle as u cant move when casting...
and the annoying part is some of it do damage urself like the blizzard >.<

For Smithing, forge as much as Jewelery as you can, it will tremendously boost the smithing level, and product can be used as currency if you are short on Gold.

as far as i recall some mobs/ dungeons/ dragons do scale with your level...
i hate fighting dragons alone, it'll take my around 20min of dodging etc before killing it...
1 mistake and half of my life is gone T.T

u have max out on the spell cost reduction (for example stacking 4x -25% destruction cost) will let u cast spells for free
