Beth cannot easily roll out patch like nobody business.
Need to go through their own QA team. Then Valve(Steam) will also do the same before spreading it out to the masses. Ala most of us already know what to expect from Beth right? So just chill and wait for the Creation Kit |

Usually a quick dragonrend, and shield bash to interrupt their breaths. Rest is history. yeah. currently being slaughtered by elder dragon. damnit i can kite & hide. but when its land, there is no way i could rush in like before. 1 frost breath, bye2 dovakiin |

QUOTE(gaeria84 @ Dec 5 2011, 09:41 AM) Yea, the resist bug sucks. I usually clear out a camp full of elite forsworn with ease at master difficulty, but now, whenever I come across a forsworn caster, I get smashed so easily. wth so my nord is permanently +50% more damage from frost? What I heard was that supposedly resistance works inversely now, meaning if you have 100% magic resist, you take 100% more damage from magic instead of reduced damage. No wonder I die so easily with 500+ HP. maddness |

QUOTE(JoBigShow @ Dec 5 2011, 11:22 AM) If you like sniping, here is a cut'n'paste edit that can make you kill at a much more further distance (3x than default): Wait, is this means no more auto-aim-like arrow?Open and edit the skyrim.ini in: My Documents > My games > Skyrim with notepad and adjust the following settings: [Combat] fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0 fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0 f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7 [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=14000.0000 This setting will force the arrow to start from the middle of the cross hair, then drop down from gravity. The 0 setting starts the arrow below the cross hair. [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=14000.0000 This setting increases the range at which you will be able hit. You can increase it further, but it starts to become impossible to hit any target at that distance, to aid this, use this mod from nexus to make the eagle eye zoom further: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=522 You need to manually angle your bow in order to hit a distance target? If it is, that would be freakin awesome! |

QUOTE(emino @ Dec 5 2011, 11:33 AM) The quest giver is quite a capable follower. Kenot just fusrodah them. Me range mage needs capable human bait. I just use Erandur, but most of the time he is no where to be found. QUOTE(JoBigShow @ Dec 5 2011, 11:37 AM) Yes, Bethesda makes Auto-Aim for those console players (PS3, XBOX360) I've been archering a lot and auto-aim most of the time disrupt the shots For example: there's two enemy standing next to each other, I tried to shoot the guy to the right but suddenly the arrow veers to the left, and this guy on the left is standing behind cover. With this little mod, archery is the most addictive mode of attack in this game, you can make the most incredible shots when you master the archery given that the game's physic engine is pretty good When I first playing with bows & arrows I always wonder why my shot never hit. Thanks a lot for the info. |

As per oblivion iirc, to shoot an enemy that is a bit far, you need to aim higher(just like grenade launcher in modern shooter).
But in Skyrim, anything less then 20 meter(more or less I think) you just aim straight ahead and the arrow will arc it self. I dont invest in any archery perk so I dont have zoom which would probably have a different situation |

QUOTE(JoBigShow @ Dec 5 2011, 01:04 PM) Yes, it's the gravity effect. Will try this at home later with my furry friend But the thing is, Bethesda fiddled around with the settings in Skyrim, so it's not like Oblivion. Actually, the long range shot s in Oblivion, the arrows are scripted to 'magnetize' to the target By default in Skyrim, the arrow doesn't shoot right in the center of the crosshair, the skyrim.ini mod-edit I posted earlier makes the arrow release right in the center of the crosshair, and thanks to the engine you can make incredibly long range shot with superb accuracy. But of course to even see the target at these range, do set your video settings for 'Actor fade' to max. (also Object Fade if necessary) |
