Venue: Star Elite Table Tennis

Cannot get to Union cause they only free during night time Saturday and Sunday.
We already tried in Uncle Ling place gold medal sports. Now we trying other places. So we select Star Elite. I am pretty sure lots of people never been to this place.

Number of table: 5 tables.
Date:15th April 2012 (Sunday)

Time: 8.30am to 10.30am or 11.30am

Official Ball Use: Butterfly 3 Star
Each game 5 sets. Whoever get 3 sets win. If 3~0 must stop the game already scared not enough time.

All rules follow official ITTF.

*The ranking system is not same as ITTF format.
*No restriction of players. Even you are newbie, average player,district, state or national also can join.

For now we will set maximum player 16 people. Even if not enough 16 people we will still proceed with the game but bare in mind if less people maybe each of us need to fork out more for the table rental.

For prizes i will adjust accordingly. There will be table tennis goods, example such as table tennis balls butterfly, nitakku premium 3 star.

This is the base calculation.
Table rental if not mistaken each table per hour at is rm 6 per hour. if three table for three hours. = RM54 (if we can finish earlier and if i get discount for the table rental I will add into the prizes section. Not sure how much is Star Elite I will try to get same price as before...

As for Star Elite table rental previously there are some people organize tournament there. They charge rm 200 for 2 tables for 3 hours. So if 5 tables it is going to be much more expensive. Is a little bit more expensive cause this place is much more wider and is air condition. Or you guys wants to walk in rm8 per person. RM 128

Rm 8 * 16 = RM 128

Still the same everyone fork out rm 10

Total = Rm 160
Provided if got 16 people each people fork out rm10


RM 160 -rm128 = rm 32

1st price RM 15 worth of table tennis goods
2nd price rm 10 worth of table tennis goods
3rd price rm 7 worth of table tennis goods

Or you guys don't want price and the price only be given during December.

As you can see the price is getting lesser and smaller.. if you guys want to contribute rm 15 we can set this for the next tournament.

*Prize giving for Dec month to three highest ranking points.

Same rank = win/lose 10 points
Difference of 1 tier = win/lose 15/10 (for lower tier) and 10/15 (for higher tier)
Difference of 2 tiers = win/lose 20/10 (for lower tier) and 10/20 (for higher tier)
Difference of 3 tiers = win/lose 25/5 (for lower tier) and 5/25 (for higher tier)



This value will bring forward to next game. until the end of the Tournament. and the value will bring forward to the next league tournament which is the month of June, August, Oct, December 2012

Hmm.. the point system is just come out from my mind without referring to any point game system available in the net..Maybe coincidentally related.. not sure.

I will try get Union if we cannot make it to union then we will choose star elite as the place and it will be held during 15 April Sunday. You need to work during that day? PC fair...maybe you can join next tourney during June.

You can elaborate more on the ranking system of tiers that you mention. Maybe your idea is more suitable for our ranking system.

win or lose both party will be awarded or will be deducted 10 points.

There is no best place to buy tt equipment, but the options are :
1) Gold Medal Sports (near Viva Mall) at Jln Loke YEw KL
(Also knowns as Ling's place)

2) Lucky Sports Trading in Pertama Complex - sole distributor of Butterfly Japan in MAlaysia.
(Owner is Tay Tong Kee and staff is Alex)

3) Trioxe Sports (also known as presports) at Jaya One, PJ.
4) ST Rapid Sports Trading at Batu 9 Cheras

5) Star Elite Table Tennis Center in Puchong Jaya.

you can try ask any of these centers.

..Or you can try DIY the dividers.

get a proper measurement for the divider height....use pvc pipes and used blanket or floor mats cut into respective shape then stick on it also can be use...lastly attach those legs...

So now total only 6 players initially we got 7 but now got 6 we still continue on. Since is less player we will start at 9.00am. Cindy will open door for us. See you guys sharp at 9.00am

Added on April 14, 2012, 8:07 amAnyone wants to join can go to star elite tomorrow at 9.00am tomorrow. Time change since it is lesser people. Cindy the star elite table tennis center personnel will open store earlier. Usually Sunday around 10.30 till 1pm got lots of people playing. So that's why we need to play early.

Anyone join for this league for this month will start to have base point 1000. So it will be round robin between this 6 people. Sorry for those not able to join. Next league date will let you know within this month. Hope to get more people.

Since it is not enough people this league will not restrict to lyn member only open to outsider too so if anyone of you want bring extra friend can join. No restriction in league tournament but is best that be a lowyat.net member with a username.

Ok the League for Lowyat Table Tennis April 2012 successful with 8 participants. Last minute ping pang recover from flu and come in. Hemanlo have to go home early so just played two games. Rest of the participant manage to play with different players. Tired n enough sweat even in air condition place.

Next league will be schedule at June.
Currently total of RM16 accumulated in the league prize vault.

Any ideas or suggestion to improve our ranking system please do voice out.

The next tournament date will be on 16 June (Sat) or 17 June (Sun).
I need some votes on where the next tournament we can held. Most likely will be Gold Medal Sports or Star Elite only. If there is other place more than 3 tables that we can rent cheap please do let us know.

The time for the propose date are as follows.
All of you reply the thread for vote date/time and preferred venue. Of course I cannot make everyone happy but this is base on highest vote and the date/time will be set according to the statistic.

Anyone going star elite tonight? From 6 till 8 or 9pm

I need to change the date as the week of 16 & 17 i not able to be there. I don't know if anyone interested in this league. give some votes send me pm so that i can judge which date and time and which venue is the best for most of us here.

If the league tourney not that good idea maybe I have to ditch this league tourney format go for the elimination round tourney instead.

hmmmm...looks like no one wants to play....then i think i will cancel this tournament for this month. next two month try again.

i did log in. but no one wants to play any tournament anymore so i cancel this june tournament. maybe if you free can ask more kaki to join and we meet at one place to have some table tennis training session.

of course still remember. next time we can play again. when you guys free we can go for casual table tennis meetup and have some good match.

i dunno if anyone want to have the tourney. I there is lot more people want i will start again the league tourney. or just one day tournament.

funniest ping pong clip

rm 100 hard to get... unless u want all china blade plus china rubber.

rm 45~55 can get a all wood china dawei blade. another rm 35 or 45 for a chinese rubber. 729 also good.

Yes clean it using rubber cleaner. then put back the plastic. make sure no air bubbles. sometimes those stick on the china rubber is thicker plastic sheet. if too thin also if u stick back by the time u pull it out it will be out of shape. so you can purchase additional plastic sheet. should be cheap one rm 5~10 should get. or else u can just buy any book wrapper. cut it into the shape u desire and stick back. thats a good way to protect bat from dust.

but normally me lazy after i play i just shove it into my ping pong bag. clean it only when want to start play.

old klang road area i know got one apartment. and the mca hall got lots of ping pong player. near the shell there.
