Used bat type? Handshake or penhold? If penhold - Jpen or Cpen?

I got a couple used handshake and Cpen bats to letgo.
Handshake - Xiom RM 150, Gint Dragon RM 150
Cpen - Huaruite RM 75,

For everyone info. Zamrud is a good TT player, played 3 or 4 years ago in Serdang.

If you have been playing with people like Daniel Iskandar , David Chiew etc at Serdang Raya Complex, well ..........

Don't worry kenary, you may contact us here in this forum if want to play table tennis.
I am also using Jpen. Was using Cpen formerly, contemplating too use shakehand (in fact used it for slightly over 3 months) but finally revert back to Jpen.

Its time for me to let the dogs out.

There was an initiative to form a team (I have no idea of the number of players or the formation, yet) to play friendly matches or tournaments. Looking at the numbers, I don't think we have enough. No current/ex-state or national/ex-national players. From the initial discussion, Ng (Deadevil) was kind enough to provide us some kind of assistance.

I would like to have names who are interested to be part of the team or we can form a few teams and have some friendly matches.

Only thing is I won't be in Klang Valley (KL/PJ/Shah Alam etc) from 13-17 December. I will be on duty at the Malaysian Open (Table Tennis) in Mentakab, Pahang.

szewooi2001 had mention earlier to see your type of game before deciding on a blade/bat.
Too fast a bat, harder to control; suited for attacking play
For an all round game, a softer bat like some soft carbon bat may be suitable.

Now pairing with rubbers. In theory hard rubber are fast, soft rubber slower but spinner.
Reason with hard rubber (the sponge is harder) the ball has lesser reaction time to dwell into the rubber before it bounce off the bat. Hence fast rubber.
for a spinnier game plaay, use soft rubbers.

So you decide the combination.

If still don't know, use a safer method, medium rubber.

Where do you normally play kenary?
If you are in KL, we can play at Avenue K (shopping mall) above KLCC LRT station.
From your stroke, maybe we can guide you there.

Okay. Theoretically, carbon bat (fast bat) + Sriver L (medium soft) = mediu fast set-up.
For player who like to spin a lot, use softer rubber with mas thickness. That way when the ball hit into the rubber and you spin it with your wrist/hand, the ball will comes up spinnier from your bat.
For "over-all" player who likes to control play with spin and speed, your set-up is just nice.
For a Flat hitter who depends on speed a slightly harder rubber (medium or medium hard) with a carbon bat will do the trick.

Kenary, try to stroke the ball at least 100 times without failing with a friend or coach/other player. Once you get the "feel" you will know the timing, rythm, power usage to hit the ball the way you want to.

depends on what type of game you are playing - are you a near table player or mid- or away from table player? a blocker? a spinner? A whacker (means don't care what ball, come only whack)?

But as a beginner, recommend to use Wooden bat, not composite (carbon/titanium/fibreglass etc) bat.
A 5-ply wooden bat will be ideal as an "Over-all" type of bat - can attack, can defend, block etc. Not too fast or too slow.

Or can play at Avenue K shopping mall Jalan Ampang KL next Monday 23/11/2015 6.30pm onwards.
Just above the KLCC LRT Station.
