Am not on data plan btw. Need to activate it first before receiving one?
I can't download the pics even when I'm on wi-fi.

2.) How to obtain the calendar+event like this one:

1. how to upgrade to this new 2.3.6 using kies? downloaded the file, and then?
2. this upgrade would not effect phone's warranty, right?

Downloaded file need to be put somewhere specific?

Forgot to ask the otais here..

Problem: My phone turned off or restart on its own.
When: Started last week
Frequency: 3 to 4 times daily
Solution: Went to samsung service centre, told them the problem. they said it might be caused by software problem. should be ok after upgrading it. need to leave the phone with them for 3 hours. follow their instructions.
Result: last only one day (26 hours without turning off/ restarting on its own.

What should I do?
Pls advise. Thanks in advance.

But most of the times, it restarts when idle..

Otais, got 2 problems:

1. Cannot upgrade firmware using kies. Got error saying:

Upgraded files/ folders this big meh?


2. Packet data will be disabled automatically when the screen is locked
Last time I checked, the feature to turn packet data off when screen is off only available for wifi, not packet data.

Please help me on these.

Use Mobile AP for wireless internet connection.

After a while, the connection lost.
Checked the phone, the screen was locked, but the screen brightness is somewhat blur.
Need to press power button for 4,5 secs before the it turned back to normal brightness.

After that can't use the Mobile AP anymore, as 'Mobile AP activated' (under the Mobile AP setting) has been replaced by 'Error'.
Need to restart sgs+ in order to activate it again.

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Sometimes need to press Home button several times before the screen light on.

anyone else facing this problem? how to prevent it?
