I almost brick my phone man. tried twice on kies but suddenly brick phone. Some stupid symbol up. then use odin. still same symbol cannot disappear. my phone totally brick. then use kies again. i don't know why but this time took longer. i east till sleep. but once woke up, its done. lucky me. What's the kernel version after upgrading.???

Ya. mine too. but wonder why there's root wording. Is this means we already root the phone? U still got 3 years warranty with it. Don't plan to root it yet.

Guys! Did u all notice that after update to 2.3.5, the phone react slower?Especially when making fast call or fast searching? Mine always got bit hip cup when pressing home.

What do you mean, 2.3.6 can now update through Kies? I thought the development already died long time ago....

Some noob question. Do we able to upgrade/flash ROM without rooting the phone?

Oh, I must agree with you on this. I got this message too. But mainly it is due to connection slow.
However, when my phone in DL mode, kies suddenly pops up message that "error during DL" then give out a firmware recovery number. Second time, it pops another message to contact samsung service center.

I had tried few times using that recovery mode and it still pops up the same message. Oh, I must say that I had it with this stupid Kies. I have this problem during the 2.3.5, but it took me 3 to 4 times to do it. But on this 2.3.6, I had enough of it. Wasted me enough of 3 hours.

Will go through the manual way tonight "ODIN"

eer... I just update using Odin. But I didn't loose anything. But its already full2.3.6
Anyone face this? Or mine special...
It works fine now. better than before. Smooth...
Obvious is the phone lock interface. Battery life improve alot...base on daily usage.

Did your apps and save file still there?

After uninstall, go to this webside and follow the step mention.
Remember to restart your phone after doing it. Then it will function normally liao.
