tough teams await Kelantan and Terengganu in AFC Cup...

at least Kelantan's group have one sayur team dari myanmar... Terengganu's group really strong and mysterious across the board..i know Kitchee and Tampines are very good and resilient to beat...and any team from vietnam should be tough...

Bro Aweef, apa dah jadi dgn part 2 ...dah lama menunggu nie .

This AFC cup format is a bit silly to me.Why are all the ASEAN teams grouped together. The problem with ASEAN teams both at club level and national level is that they constantly play among themselves (syok sendiri) . They need to play with East Asian, West Asian teams more often. (Macam manalah kualiti nak naik kalau asyik syok sendiri je? )
*
asia continent is too big. i think its a good move to devide by region in the group round to save travelling cost for teams and fans and also to create rivalry between neigbouring countries. Even as we speak, there are fans group who already planning to go to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malang and Yangon.

kalau hendak diikutkan 14 pasukan bukannya banyak sangat pun
*
bukan setakat tiga piala.. kita jugak ade olimpik team.. national team dan jugak sebulan bulan puasa di tgh2 season. .... nak senang tgk kira sahaja berapa kali Apek main untuk 2 season lepas.....

kalau Piala Malaysia campur dgn liga, the amount of game per team sama dgn 22 team league...

Info Dan Ranking Bola Sepak Malaysia

QUOTE(miketee @ Dec 12 2011, 11:04 AM)
Here an interesting idea, an ASEAN-level Champions League:

MALAYSIA has a goal — it wants to produce its first millionaire footballer soon.
The Youth and Sports Ministry plans to do this through the introduction of a regional football competition along the lines of the European Champions League.
Its minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, told the New Sunday Times that he would bring up this proposal at the two-day Asean Sports Ministers Meeting in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on Tuesday.

This move will help turn the sport into a real career, and change people’s perception that there is no future in playing football.

The ministers have, in principle, agreed with the idea, which Shabery is confident will lead to the production of Malaysia’s first millionaire footballer.
He said Asean countries should capitalise on the passion for the game, as displayed by Malaysians and Indonesians during the recent SEA Games football final, and turn it into a lucrative industry.

“We can capitalise on the excitement in Indonesia and turn it into a huge marketing opportunity for sponsorship and branding by producing world-class footballers.”

He said the competitive spirit displayed by both countries could fuel a lucrative football competition, which may in turn produce a world-class millionaire footballer from Malaysia.

“(This is) just like (the situation in) England and France,  who were once at war (with each other). They used football to put their differences aside and settled matters on the field. Look at their European competition (Champions League)  now.”

He said most of the  ministers had agreed with the idea and all that was needed now was to finalise the format of the competition that would have an audience of about 300 million people in Asean countries.

He said the Sea Games football final was watched by five million Malaysians and  100 million Indonesians.

“Sports is the fastest-growing content industry and if we want to make football a multi-million dollar industry, we have to venture outside our comfort zone.

“Astro shows the Indonesian league on  Bintang (channel 141) and Pelangi (channel 142), which are viewed by Indonesians  in our country.”  He said Malaysians also tuned in to these channels to watch  Malaysians  playing in the league.

“Manchester United’s Park Ji Sung is another example, where the whole of Korea sees Manchester United as its  team of choice simply because Park plays for it. This factor alone makes it easy for sponsors to penetrate the Korean market.”

Agreeing with Shabery’s suggestion, Football Association of Malaysia  vice-president Datuk  Subahan Kamal said the government should form a committee involving FAM and government-linked companies (GLCs) to develop the game.

He said more GLCs and  corporations should be roped in to  fund and provide better training facilities for Malaysian footballers.

He urged the government to encourage Petronas, AirAsia, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Maybank, CIMB  and Public Bank  to get involved in the sport and pump  money into the game.

“That money can provide better training facilities, more sports complexes and  better wages to elevate the status of the game.

“People’s perception, that there is no future in playing football, is the worst problem we have. We lose our best talent that way.”
Subahan said leagues in Japan and Korea were funded by their best corporations, which was how large sums of money were available for development and  transfer of players.

“I have seen players in our school leagues whom I can compare to Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Unfortunately,  they will most likely be pressured to not pursue a career in football.”

He said the ministry should push for more funding and GLC involvement in the game and not just reward  players when they won tournaments.

“Let’s make this into a real career and  win parents over by making it lucrative for players. This would work towards the minister’s  idea of a multi-million dollar industry.”

on the side note.. Lucy penulis buku Cerita Malaysia Tidak Ke Piala Dunia akan keluar Kafe Sukan pukul 8.30 malam ini..

di kala setengah orang cakap perlawanan kompetetif kita tak cukup, setengah orang plak komplm perlawanan terlampau padat.. EPL team pon tak main 2 kali tetiap minggu macam kita..

okla. kita try main2 kira. ni calculation dari kepala aku. Tak paham tanya. tak betol tegur.

..........................................

setahun 54 weeks.

2 bulan offseason. Tolak 9 weeks. Balance 45 weeks.

1 Bulan puasa. Tolak 5 weeks. Balance 40 weeks.

40 weeks = 80 match slot (40 match slot weekday + 40 slot weekend).

dari situ tolak 18 slot untuk national team (11 match according to FIFA Calender tambah seminggu training camp for each call up. tak termasuk Olympic qualifying, SEA Games, AFF Cup.

So balance adalah 62 slot. (31 minggu)

katakan kita main league sekali seminggu weekend sahaja. So logically saiz of our league max 16 teams ( 30 match home and away).

so kesimpulan keadaan sekarang = Liga kita hanya ade cukup 62 slot untuk main liga 16 team (30 match) + FA Cup (7) + Malaysia Cup (11) + AFC Cup (13).

So practically kita ade 52 slot jer. Tolak 31 slot match cup, kita hanya ade 21 slot sahaja untuk match liga.

KALAU 21 SLOT, SAIZ MAXIMUM LIGA KITA BOLEH PERGI HANYA 12 TEAM SAHAJA. ( sebenarnye tu pon perlu 22 slot, tapi satu lagi halal-la cilok dari tempat lain).

Okay, why don't we throw away the clubs and just stick to the states that way we only have 14 teams in one league...Throw away FA cup, just have Malaysia cup....I know AFC like 2 tier competition but it hasn't affected A-league chances of Champions League spot... I think even with a one tier league with proper youth development, we can reach our goals .
*
turning club sides to state side and abolishing second tier league will not reduce the match slot demands. as long as the top tier is 14 teams we still need 26 league macthes plus 31 cup matches.. thats 57 matches... we can only scrap through with 52 slots. we can solve this issue by abolishing the FA Cup though.

and i dont think banning the clubs side sends the right signal. we must encourage participation from corporate sides. not forbid them.

I dare not talk about tengku and raja because it is sensitive issue for malays and i dont want to be accused of derhaka.
Maybe annuar musa is an exception. But i wonder what people like subahan kamal, shahidan kassim, khairy jamaluddin can contribute to national football. They are all wakil rakyats. They have to spend time on both serving as wakil rakyat and as FAM chiefs.I dont think they can do that.Professional football requires 100% time and dedication.

Even Rajagobal admitted he had sleepless nights thinking about formation and tactics for last year final against indon.
Do you think they got time for football when their main priority is politics? In my opinion, they are just there for the money. You can earn millions by brokering sponsorship for the national team through komisyen from the deals.Of course with their political position and connections it's easier to do so.Eg; telekom, mas and genting.

This of course just my opinion and i can be wrong smile.gif
*
to be fair to the politicians, some of them do have passion to contribute. They have sacrificed own money and time to football... i dont really think there are that much money in the industry for anyone to swindle or make undertable benefit from. when times are hard, some of the politicians fork out money out of their pocket themselves to keep the ball rolling...

what they dont have though is the capability to assert change. their action are tied by their mentality to toe along the political line and conservativism.
But to fair, the vibrant creative young leaders dont fight for FA positions leaving a vacumm that the old leaders keep filling..

*
for me the best way to reduce game is to combine Malaysia Cup (11 matches) and FA Cup (7) into one cup that has maybe 13 matches. By that, we can add 2 more teams into the league from 12 to 14 teams..

If Malaysia use second stringers, that is good but I prefer them play against teams that use at least 80% of 1st team players..Afterall these type of friendly has no baring on the world ranking but a good way to expose the whole squad against different style of play. Only problem FAM like to use these games as propaganda , oh look we beat team XYZ etc but its not actually the real team XYZ. Nak angkut bakul sendiri .

yap we use second stringers... i can only make out Izham Tarmizi, Thamil Arasu, Muslim, Amer Saidin and Hazwan Bakri from Nadi Arena footage. And this is the first time i heard of Sahrul Saad.
