now that I'm hooked on these beautiful time piece I'm already planning for a 2nd one but it'll be a beater...notice also most of the discussion here are on mechanical movement...anyone here would prefer quartz instead? I'm looking for a casual/slightly sporty 42-44mm round watch...sapphire crystal and has no preferece on leather/bracelet band...i'd love to get a seiko but most on my budget range (<1k) are none sapphire...pls correct me if i'm wrong...is the crystal really that easy to get scratched? I'm not ready to go into mechanical because firstly most are out of my budget range and I'm not sure yet if I know how to maintain it..servicing?maintenance? Also open for pre-own ones too...

thanks mate for the info, yeah there are mechanical which are within my budget but I've not seen any with sapphire crystal. I'm expecting a quartz due to my budget and requirement for sapphire coz I'm a little paranoid seeing the watch face getting any scratch lol...

very nice strap/stitch combo...would like to have it the next time for my quartz courturier which believe is the lowest end model as yours since its the same shape...but yours limited edition so I suppose it's even harder to get the strap hehe..

one thing I noticed after my 3rd month of ownership, the deployant clasp gets a weee bit harder to snap into position sometimes but its not frequent...not sure if it's just mine...perhaps I'll check back with you next time:p *fingers crossed*

like how Chinoz says...go with what you like...you are already willing to part with your hard earn cash..2k is alot of money so you should please yourself rather than other people. Of course if you can splash out 20-30k instead then it'll be a different story all together. You can please yourself as well as showing off too lol.

mate...was the total cost EU303 + 30 to Malaysia? I'm also looking at the steinhart pilots...any wrist shot? I'm a little concern that the 47mm is too large..it's almost going to look too huge for me when I tested the luminox 1879 which is also 47mm...I have a 7.25' wrist...

Isn't it still cheaper compare to buying from steinhart website directly?

Gents I'm just looking at jacksontse's site and noticed many of them with the Chinese 6498 movement. Can I safely assume it also means that it can be a direct swap with the Swiss Unitas 6498 too? (FB-3009-HF from ofrei.com)

just got my semi grail...comes originally with the rubber strap..

looking for some opinion on how to give it a more casual look which would work with even tee shirt/jeans..what's your thought on this rivet-ed strap?does it run very off with this little pilot-ish hint?

7.25' wrist size here, 39mm still good for dress watch..I prefer 44mm at least...personal preference though

Never buy from crown & buckle before but my last 3 shipment from US via first class arrived without any problem. Have 1 more coming in which the stupid seller decided to post my rm600 worth of item with first class...long story anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed until twisted already...
