IMHO, winder can do without unless you got a perpetual calender or moonphase watch which require some time to re-set it.
How difficult to wind a 3 hands watch with day date functions?
Me myself is one-watch-per-week guy, I just left my other watches idle in watchbox.

You're right. Doesn't take too long to wind up and adjust a watch.
But any idea does the Screw-In type of crown is durable to last every week of adjusting?
Please share the experience biggrin.gif

AFAIK and my experience, no problem on the crown.
That's why you need a quartz to "ready for action" biggrin.gif

Hi all, Anyone ever bought a Homega from Getat?
I'm eyeing on the Marina Militare 44mm Brushed Case @5 Power Reserve Watch
Wonder if the movement rotor would look good or not if I opt for a display back case. icon_question.gif

And any experience with the Self Wind Movement which is use by Getat? Asian Seagull Unitas 6497?

Thanks in advance

Bought from him. Reponse time was slow.
Someone enquire from him few months before here, but no reply.
Rotor would not look good since it is undecorated.
Asian 6497, noisy and quality is hit and miss. Can't complain much with the price.

It is far more accurate than any Swiss mechanical watches. I found that the bracelet for some models are not as good as other Swiss watches like IWC or Rolex. I do not mean that it feels cheap. It feels sturdy and solid. It is minor at the clasp where there is a mm gap when it is closed.

Another concern is, should you have problem with GS, it will be sent back to Japan to service. It might take a month or so and it eats into your warranty.

Which GS model are you looking for?

Typical Seiko look alike with finer details when examine closely.
The calibre is well polished but not "colorful". There is no blue screws and golden paint. Much like 7s26 from far.

You can always get a nice aftermarket leather strap, not a big concern.
Like sshark said, get one with bracelet, you can always change to leather strap anytime.

Hello,

I am currently looking for the below watch.

http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-H71726333-K...k/dp/B001F7JD78.

Anyone know where I can view the Hamilton watches in Malaysia?  And the price range for Hamilton Automatic in Malaysia?

guys, just curious about the cost of modding watches.
nothing serious maybe just removing the brand name or changing the colour the hands.

What brand and model?
Some model does have modified parts, i.e. Seiko Monster.
Otherwise, it is very costly to custom made a dial or hands.
