Therefore I decided to buy one unit to test since the price is not expensive about TWD2200(RM220). The installation is pretty simple, I install it myself. After a year, the Car DVR still operate very well in my car, the quality is proven. The most important is I found that it is not just a private recorder, it record the incident happen inside and outside your car while you are driving for example accident, robbery, vandalism, road rage, abuse of public facilities. When motion detect is ON, the DVR will automatically record when there is object movement. The recording time is fix at 2 mins. If there is any object movement, DVR will start recording for 2 minutes. If after 2 minutes, no object movement then the recording stop. If there is any movement then DVR will continue record for next 2 minutes until no object movement.

Poslaju to Johore cost only RM6, it is 100% brand new and very easy to install without screw, install just infront of your wind screen regardless of the car model or size.
(P/S : the DVR does not come with SD Memory card, you have to get it from computer shop).

If the battery last 30min to 60min does that mean we can't leave it on when parking (away for long time)

Tested with the actual unit as of 31th Dec 2011, the battery last for 2 hours. It will be ok if leave it on when parking, furthermore the motion detect will help you to save SD card storage where the recording start if there is moving object, when there is no object movement, the recording puase and on standby.

Actually I bought from TS few weeks ago, was going to do a proper full review on it but have not time...
Overall, this thing is really value for it's money.
I still have the problem where 2-3 minutes per clip instead of full 15 minutes though...

Yes, you are right the entry level model come with standard basic functions with the affordable price. That is my intention to let most drivers to have the first experience with the affordable price.(car DVR is still not common in Malaysia).

I am currently evaluating a few advanced model, it will take couple of months to test the functionalities. Will share in LYF after the evaluation if manage to find good model. Btw, I still remember your suggestion of idea operation. :-)

The HD model come with 140 degree wide angle lens but entry level come with 120 degree lens. Wide angle is very important as it capture the wider view including the opposite car. Beside that HD model come with H.264 codec compression to save memory space. The LCD screen for the HD model is smaller and looks nicer.

The entry level is mainly for first time experience driver because of its low price, HD model is for buyer looking for better resolution video.

I just COD with Nicety for this DVR today. Very good seller. Patient in showing and explaining the products. Able to provide thorough explanation. Recommended seller.

From today's short experience with this DVR, I would say it is good enough for basic events recording as mentioned by Nicety. You'll need HD model for better video quality.

GREAT PRODUCT! just received it yesterday. bought on monday.. receive on wednesday. super fast and efficient! tested it today but used 1GB memory card.. so record only for 15mins.. haha.. getting 8GB memory card later..

oh yeah.. jusst wanna ask.. u recommend the lowest video setting which is 640x480.. wonder still can see car number plate when we view it?

Thank you bro. It is recommended to used 16GB which cost about RM50 only, you could source from any PC shop.

It depend on your usage of the recorder, if your purpose is recording event and consume minimum memory then lowest resoluition(640x480) will do. If you expect to see the car plate number then I would advise to set to highest resolution(1280x720).

I did not build in the cable into the car, I am using the direct hook all the way from cigarette adapter to DVR and do not feel any distracting. However, this is very subjective it depend on individual.

My first order is a FullHD unit.....and this is my second order for 2 unit HD....arrived fast as promised !! Video quality is not as good as the Full HD one... but this one has delay off after you exit your car and auto off for the LCD and lots of extra features. The FullHD one doesn't have this features... but the FullHD have 140 degree angle of view, 180 Degree for front lens rotation and smaller size which makes a big difference hence the price. It would be great if the FullHD unit have all the extra features of the HD unit.

bought 2 units. 4gb can hold roughyl 50 min of hd recording. Quality is not as good as point and shoot camera but for the price it is worth the value.
