Maybe I'm nuts, but I have a gut feeling that says all this fuss about "auto is needed in KL traffic jam" is pure laziness. So I got a manual.

Yea, the previous Myvi Generation the center pillar follows the colour of the body. While this new one, the center pillar is blacked out

i just come back from perodua showroom...now dunno which one to choose..either 1.3 ezi or 1.5 se..since the monthly different is about rm71 only...which one to get?....the SA said the 1.3 offers more fuel saving but the 1.5 also not that bad..and the SE price will go up since the price kills the current 1.3 elegance...the car will be used for town driving..and seldomly go back to kampung...

haha..im not a fan of the touch screen multimedia system..but the 1.5 has bigger engine...for the 1.3, i like the dashboard color, and also the turqoise color meter..very hard to make a decision..

Scions have manuals. I am a kaki manual, and all the cars I've ever owned are manuals. From my first car (Mazda RX-8) to my last (Honda S2000), they were all manuals.

When I first met my wife, she got very interested in my obsession with manuals (maybe because I would not shut up about the shittiness of automatics), so she changed her car to a Scion xA manual (from an Oldsmobile Alero V6). Hence how she ended up with a manual.

But you're right, most Americans spit on the manual. I think the statistic was that only 1.8% of all cars in America were manuals?

And yeah, the reason I traded in my RX-8 was because the transmission and engine were about to go. I raced almost every two weeks for about 3 years with it. Track days, time attack, autocross, drift...



I'm a sane person. If I can't afford a sports car in Malaysia, I know how to be content with a Myvi. And it's all okay.

I wanna work my way up to afford nicer rides anyway. A Myvi is a good entry level car (it was between the Myvi and Inspira, but my mother will NEVER let a Proton sit in our house's driveway).

I like the Myvi anyway. 1.5L, 2300lbs..., why not? It's a good car to learn to drive a slow car fast. And that's what's important to me. I prefer lightweight agile cars. Luxury and the badge are all secondary.

ive just booked the myvi 1.5se...the SA said just pay rm30 to bypass the parking brake to watch the video while car is moving...

Kind of hard to find too actually, try a few more or goto those bigger shops and try your luck.

Remember you will need the clip to lock the hose against your air filter box too.

i'm not from malaysia so i rely on my GPS a lot, but the default maps on the player unit are seriously useless, i've been lost many times bcoz of that.
is there any way i can change the maps in my player to something better like Garmin or Papago ? can i change the SD card or something ?

actually, i also can afford a car with installment of 1.2k-1.5k per month, 1/3 of my salary.. but i think better get a cheaper car like Myvi or Saga FLX, then use the money for other investment.. so now i also look at Myvi 1.5se and 1.6flx.. dunno which should i get..

yeah.. cheaper by abit But flx is sedan la haha.. proton screw themselves up on their brand QC.. it isnt reliability problem la.. just that they let too many faulty parts pass.. Maybe their QC is sleeping most of the time lol.. gonna test drive both of them to see which i prefer lo..
