Guys, I remember I read somewhere that there was a case where when we make a quite sharp cornering, there's like a screw noise coming from the rear. Example like if we are turning left, then can hear like a screw sound rolling from left to right. Anyone experience it or know where's that coming from? Funny thing is there's nothing loose or any small parts visible when I try to find if there's any screw.

anyone can recommend where can I change my brake system around KL with reasonable price ?
*
Depends on what you want, oversized half-cuts from Honda etc or just similar with the OEM but improved braking power and doesn't get warped easily.

Huhuhu..nice2.i wish i have extra money now..but need to wait 2 years first.stil new car need to wait for waranty to void.

So any improvement on pick up or fc?
*
Well I don't mind voiding warranty for certain parts because Perodua can always find so many excuse in order to avoid warranty claims such as saying it's a wear and tear thing.

I don't care much about FC because quite heavy footed so hard to monitor FC but pickup yes because engine revs much easier, very obvious when going uphill.

Guys any recomended spark plug for myvi LB?or all myvi spark plug all the same except for 1.0?
*
First generation MyVi uses a different spark plug model as I know. If I'm not mistaken the current one should use IXU22 for Denso Iridium. hmm.gif

Just wanna ask you guys, what so important of the CAI mod ? i thought by default there is a mini hose or inlet (i dunnoe what is that) for the cold air intake already ?
*
With the CAI mod, you can redirect the hose to intake air from wherever you want for cooler air to go in. The stock one is just a thing sticking out of the filter box and with that, it is more or less just getting hot air from the engine area.

Added on December 10, 2011, 8:50 pmBy the way, was lurking around other car topics and the Saga topic is discussing about which SC allows owner to bring their own oil. So far anyone know of a P2 SC that allows this? hmm.gif

For mine (1.5 SE), they opened up a new hole at the nose there, the area where the P2 logo is, that area got some holes opened and some not right, they just open up one of it). smile.gif

QUOTE(ikiey @ Dec 11 2011, 08:46 PM)
Owh, guys,.. Actually the sound that i complained earlier is not coming from the dashboard itself, but actually coming from the glove compartment because i keep my smart tag there n it bang the plastic area inside there... So now i put kain tebal to act as impact absorption material inside there, now no more sound even on rough patched on the road... Hehehe, luckly didnt complaint at SC, otherwise if they undo the whole dashboard, maybe the problem will have risen
*
If there's sound coming from dashboard then most likely it'll be the meter panel. Mine is affected and although SC says they have resolved it for me, the sound is still there. The technician told me that this problem was quite common with the 1.3 Lagi Best as well. hmm.gif

QUOTE(crazy_89 @ Dec 11 2011, 09:17 PM)
thanx for the info dude..need to find kain tebal.hopefully the sound gone.mine put perfume inside there so it might be culprit for the sound in the dashboard..
guys im planning to change my air filter and my spark plug.any  suggestion for me?
my plan to get K&N for air filter and denso irridium for the spark plug.is it good?
*
For air filter, if you can afford K&N then you may go for that. Otherwise there are other brands like Works Engineering, UTR etc. As for spark plugs, common ones are Denso and NGK but I think for spark plugs you can use your stock ones until it needs to be replaced. From several cars which I have changed the spark plugs when the car was new, still not very noticeable difference gained, too small margin of improvement.

so ur suggestion i should change the air filter first.for spark plug just change when it times to change the plug?
any suggestion good suggestion for me to mod a bit my car?
*
Basic mods without needing much work would be getting a drop-in air filter with a CAI.

QUOTE(angemk @ Dec 11 2011, 11:46 PM)
yo people, how often do u guys service ur Myvi?
1k(1st Service), 5k(2nd Service), 10k(3rd Service), 20k(4th Service)..

this is normal SC's record.so do u guys follow this?

Some people say its best to service at 5k or 7k, EG: 10k(3rd Service), 15k(4th Service). better for engine rite?
*
Well even with a full-synthetic oil, car enthusiasts usually would service their cars every 5,000km. This can prevent sludge and it'll be better in the long run for the engine so in my opinion, I think it would be good to get a good quality semi-synthetic oil and have it changed every 5,000km (should be more than enough for the K3-VE and 3SZ-VE).

hey guys, when you go change rims, is there any particular brand you prefer?

or is it just based on looks? laugh.gif

I think most will go for looks, then the weight and then the brand. In my opinion, as long not a super cap ayam brand should be ok. laugh.gif

QUOTE(adeas @ Dec 12 2011, 07:24 PM)
guys...do you know how much trade in value for stock tyres and rims for new myvi? will the tyres value depend on the milleage?
*
Yes depends on the mileage but sometimes some shops would just say RM10 each, in a way they are hinting that they are not very keen for trade-in. Otherwise if the tires are new then I think can easily get at least RM50 minimum and depending on how you nego, probably can get higher.

QUOTE(adeas @ Dec 12 2011, 07:35 PM)
what is the benefit of CAI?
*
Through a CAI hose, you will redirect the path for air to go in your filter box so the car will intake in cooler air which allows for better combustion.

Yes decent ones are not cheap and you can somehow buy a proper sub for your boot but depends on what you want. Some people don't want to sacrifice the boot space so an underseat sub is the only choice.

QUOTE(bulldog2 @ Dec 15 2011, 02:57 PM)
Dear All,
I have read in the Alza forium that the same engine as our 1.5 has the speed limit cut at 160km for auto and 170km for manual and checked with PD sales team and eventually its same with thier car's too all cut at 160km

So I believe this is spped limit on the ECU and does anybody have any idea as how to override this?

thanks and kind regards
*
Just achieved 180km/h for testing purposes on the highway few days back for mine, no ECU speed limit found so far because if it's a speed cut, when it hits the speed limit, it will slow down, you can feel the car decelerate (as though you let go off the accelerator pedal) before it continues to accelerate again. However upon reaching 180km/h, the car not very willing to go beyond that anymore so I believe I have already touched near my car's max speed already (probably the max speed will be about 185km/h but that will really slow/difficult to touch based on my car's behavior so far).

The manual version should be able to go slightly more than that.

Yes 1.5 Auto. Stock should be able to do it or somewhere near it but might take a while to climb up to that speed.

ALS is the brand of the active sub.

As a frequent highway traveler, my car has received the first stone chip on the body already. sad.gif
