So this is a bit far-fetched, but will they air the Final Match between
Malaysia vs Indonesia in HD ? Anyway, what time is the match anyway ? |

QUOTE(gregghawes @ Jan 31 2012, 03:42 PM) Plus you can only record/watch 1 channel at a time with external hard disk, if you get the beyond pvr decoder you can do 2 because of the extra wires. I payed RM150 for my pvr decoder and installation. Just wondering, do you mean by record/watch 1 channel at a time?Coz it's obvious that we can only watch a channel at a time, unless you have those fancy TVs that have multiple windows to watch channels simultaneously (& I wonder if that TV even exist, LOL) & by record, do you mean that you can not record multiple channels at the same time ? |

Have Astro did anything to minimise the problem of disruptions during heavy rain? I heard some time ago that they pledge to do something about it.
Coz just now it was raining and the service was disrupted! Had AK/Astro forgotten about the promise? And do you guys experience the same issue as well? |

Hello all.
Just wondering, did anyone subscribe to Lawak Ke, Der HD? Usually, for pay-per-view channels, Astro only allowed viewing for 48hrs. But for this Lawak Ker Der, the notification I receive is for the whole month! or is the charges recurring? |

QUOTE(jamesleetech @ Mar 15 2012, 04:25 PM) For me, I don't know. But I think the best person to answer you and get much better clarification is Astro Customer Support. Call their toll free phone line and ask them whether there are any "recurring charges". If got recurring charges and if you don't want such charges, clearly inform them to cancel after one month. Indeed you are right. Plus, their response is more accurate Btw, I didn't know that the Astro customer service contact number is toll-free? If it is, all the better |

Hm if not mistaken, there's a new Astro HD channel, called BeTV, is it?
What's the channel number, and is it a new channel, or is it a replacement of another channel? |

Darn it, so now there's no HD version for AXN ? Crap man, as I prefer watching AXN in HD, especially Amazing Race..

OIC, lol funny thing is that, I have Astro Byond, but can't remember the channels, especially since Astro decides to add/change channels without notice, LOL.

Hello guys.
I am moving out to a new house soon, so I'm not sure as to where I will placed my TV (either upstairs or downstairs). Is it possible to ask the technician to make some sort of parallel wiring, having one wire to upstairs, and another one downstairs? |

QUOTE(krel89 @ May 26 2012, 08:09 PM) B.Yond, hehe.Yup, does not want to have second subscription. Coz I only have 1 TV, and as of now, not sure where to put the TV yet. So is it possible to parallel (or whatever it is called) wiring, so that 1 wiring goes downstairs, and the other goes upstairs? |

QUOTE(krel89 @ May 27 2012, 06:35 AM) i think it can.. LOL what I mean is, in the future I might not need the TV to be in the master bedroom anymore, but would it be hard for u to bring ur tv and ur beyond upstairs and downstairs when u only have one tv? so will bring it down to the living room. It's not like i'll bring it downstairs, and then back upstairs everyday, LOL |

QUOTE(St3ph @ May 31 2012, 07:23 PM) Hi. i'm trying to inquire on how to update astro to the latest firmware/software? Hm mind enlighten me as to the reason for updates?before you go and say these --> "put your astro in standby-mode and then unlug your power and etc etc etc ...", that's not the answer i'm looking for becoz there's another alternative way to do that, simply by pressing the buttons. reason is coz i was at my friend's house when as astro installer came and checked his astro, and i was surprised on the way he did the "software updates" just by pressing some buttons .. i know 1 of it is "standby" , but can't see the others. so i'm trying to understand if there's anybody who knows of this method ? i'm trying to update my astro b.yond decoder. thanks! I've never update any firmware/software, so am not sure of the benefits |

QUOTE(St3ph @ Jun 3 2012, 02:45 PM) Thanks! i'll try it later. Mine pointing to the post made by chikana? Tried looking for her post on this thread, but I didn't seem to find it T_Tif you're using the leave astro in standby mode, i'm not really quite sure. but this is what i did though. before i went to sleep, i left the astro b.yond in standby mode by pressing the "power or standby button". and the next morning came, my brother switch on the decoder, and voila~, it's at version 7.0 or 7.2. But if you don't wanna do that, use the method which lowyat member/forumer "chikana" taught us. i've yet to tried that method, but i can confirm it works coz i saw it with my own eyes astro b.yond doing the software updates without waiting for the updates to arrived. hope that helps. |
