Byond Decoder can be used with old silver dish. The HD channels also no problems. Already tried.

Yes. No problems with signal if you use silver dish. The size difference between silver dish and black dish is only 5 cm lol. haha.

the cons of ABN is they are using Cable and this is totally not practical to use in Malaysia. btw I hope that they can survive well at least in their first year.

Maybe ABN should take satellite business to, if their using better dish & better signal (C-Band, S-Band). icon_idea.gif  brows.gif

Whose satellite ABN want to use? Of course Astro wont allow them to use Measat. If they lease other's satellite the cost will rise.

Have you seen S and C band dish? So big meh. And ugly. Dont want those dish on my house roof. haha.

I am wondering..why is it everything 'International' in Malaysia is then Malaysianised? N does anyone actually think ABN or whoever comes after Astro will be able to provide us with something different?

keyword: 1Malaysia..thats the reason no one will be able to get away from having anything but Malaysian in anything they do..
*
maybe they have to follow the law?

I wonder if RTM got the time to launch RTM HD b4 London Olympic soon, or still like 2008. (testing olympic broadcast) hmm.gif

You can get RTM HD free from Measat 3 but you need different decoder. hahahaha.

heard some rumours from other forum that Astro maybe will use 100cm dish (current dish is 65cm for byond, 60cm for silver dish).

They did a test using the Chinese DMB-T system in 2008. I actually got to watch quite a bit of it because by sheer luck I ended up with a handheld DMB-T receiver.

Not very good, framerate very choppy.

The signal has vanished last I tried it tho. Unless the decoder's tuner, being Chinese made, has died. But then again, it is still capable of picking up RTM DMB/DAB Radio test signal (and before this, RTM's DMB-T TV test signal, which is now also gone).

Media Prima should choose DVB T as compared to those crappy Chinese DMB T.
