The superpack bundle includes the recording service already. No additional charges.

QUOTE(cientoo @ Dec 29 2011, 11:05 AM)
Yes so...if PVR with 500GB you need to pay monthly RM10 for recording service. If external harddisk have to pay monthly RM5 for recording service correct?
If the above statement is true then the term "HD and recording service" in superpacks doesn't make sense. Its like charging 2 recording services already?

Superpacks are already included the recording services as above quote.
QUOTE(kaneshi @ Dec 29 2011, 11:14 AM)
I just installed Astro Byond with Superpack. Does this mean the decoder I have now is PVR-enabled with internal 500GB included?

I totally agreed that Astro FAQ section does not clearly clarify especially dealing with Superpack.
*
Depends whether your decoder is PVR or non PVR.

*
laugh.gif The fees is the same whether you use PVR or non PVR decoder. Only difference is when changing to PVR decoder must pay extra RM150, if I am not wrong.

Guys quick question- if I have two byond decoders in the same house but I have only one simcard, can I put in either one of the decoders and watch ?

One at a time of course.
*
hmm.gif Good question. I think no because the sim card is tied to the particular decoder only.

Assteruk PVR B.yond has dual tuner. Normal B.yond only has one tuner. One tuner record, the other tuner watch TV. Or both tuner can record, or both tuner can be used for watching two channels using Picture-in-picture.
I have one of those TV from the analog era. The TV has two tuners and can receive two channels at the same time, showing one channel as main and another channel in a small window. So I can confirm it exists
*
hmm.gif How to do that? Can you teach me?

Actually, I think you can only. Dish network users can. I dun have PVR, I in fact already cancelled my Assteruk. I only have a nonworking normal B.yond decoder with the CAM card returned.

It's probably just Assteruk limiting their firmware for the evulz tho.

Bro, dun say think got only lah and you dun even using one. sweat.gif

can I connect Astro B.yond and PC at the same time to my HDTV HDMI port? Which one will come out on screen? The HD channels or whatever being played on my PC? i don't have HDTV or Astro Byond yet just want to ask in advance. Or you need to unplug one when using another  HDMI port?
*
laugh.gif Your HDTV should have a few HDMI inputs right? From your TV options, you select which input that you like to view.

The problem is the volume bar is decreasing by using Astro remote (even to 0 bar highlighted in blue) but the actual volume is not changing unless we use TV remote.

Do others have the same problem? If not, is it something to do with our TV model not compatible with Astro remote? I've 2 TVs with Astro Beyond. The Panasonic one is working but not the LG TV. If that's the case, this is something Astro needs to look into.
*
blink.gif The blue bar at top right hand side? That means you still haven't set ur Byond remote to control the TV volume.

Check back your Byond installation guide to page 17 titled "Your Remote Control".
Or got to this link to setup the remote to control the TV volume.

Yup, User Manuals & Online Guides provide answers to most questions by subscribers. thumbup.gif
However, nowadays many don't bother to read abt them but feel it's easier for them to get answers in Forums!!
Why?
Simply cos harder for them to search & read!!
Pampered? Lazy? Poor understanding skills?
Most probably 1 or more of the above... whistling.gif
*
hmm.gif Dunno lah bro. The fella also did not mentioned he got 2 Tvs with 2 decoders or just 1 decoder.
Maybe he set the only remote with one TV and then it cannot be used for the other TV. unsure.gif

Hi James, thanks a lot for the long reply. The setup/diagram u illustrated is EXACT setup I have. Ok, at least now I understand that this is the characteristic of it and nothing wrong with my remote or TV incompability or whatever. U didn't sound arrogant at all, no worries but in fact help a lot for non-techie guy like me. Cheers to all for sharing no matter the comments are good or bad. We are just here to learn smile.gif

First of all, I enjoyed your postings regarding the technical aspect of Byond decoder and Satellite TV.
However, some of the rantings have crept in with some non technical issues.
I believe there are some threads in RWI for you to express that instead of posting it here. Just my opinion only. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, you have the right to express your personal opinion about my posts. In future, I will not express non technical issues here and express them in other more appropriate places. I have no offense to your comment regarding the non technical issues and your advise is duly noted so no problem for me, hehe. Thanks. Hope my "rantings" have not offended you. By the way, may I know what is RWI so please forgive my ignorance.
