test ch.997 is the same too, but i can't see the subtitles since it was set on "English" only. brows.gif

On the other hand, yesterday's installer is kinda quick (think around 45min) since the installer have more demand. No wonder it's busy... hmm.gif

how to check the signal strength on byond decoder ah hmm.gif

I was able to access to that screen (the one which shows 2 vertical meter), but both bars shown zero value.. yet I was able to receive both SD and HD channels

btw, the dish was connected using the existing "antenna" cable, the installer just swapped the TV antenna with Astro dish.. surprisingly, the HD channels are just fine whistling.gif

edit-> after firmware update to v3.0, now is able to show signal strength

it is just 40% with value around 115-118
BER = 0.0e-7 @ 100%

as of now, clear sky condition

update-> after changed to No.1 transponder, it becomes 150 @ 60%

ASTRO COMMITS TO 18 TRANSPONDERS ON MEASAT-3b

Kuala Lumpur, 25 May 2012 – MEASAT Global Berhad (“MEASAT Global”) announced today that it had entered into an agreement with MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems Sdn. Bhd. (“ASTRO”) for capacity on the MEASAT-3b satellite. The agreement was executed by a MEASAT Global subsidiary.
Under the agreement, ASTRO had committed to leasing 18 Ku-band transponders on MEASAT-3b for the life of the satellite for its Direct-To-Home (“DTH”) services in Malaysia and Brunei.
“We are pleased to be able to support ASTRO’s continued growth with capacity on the new MEASAT-3b satellite,” said Datuk Umar bin Haji Abu, Chairman, MEASAT Global. ”With the commitment from ASTRO, we have now secured end of life leases for 50% of the satellite’s capacity.”
The MEASAT-3b satellite has been designed to provide an additional 48 Ku-band transponders to the 91.5°E orbital location. Operating in tandem with the MEASAT-3 and MEASAT-3a satellites, MEASAT-3b will provide high powered Ku-band capacity for DTH services across Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and India for growth and backup services.
“With the launch of MEASAT-3b, 91.5°E will have 100 Ku-band transponders across three co-located satellites, making it the most robust DTH hotslot in Asia,” added Datuk Umar.

Hello guys.
I am moving out to a new house soon, so I'm not sure as to where I will placed my TV (either upstairs or downstairs).

Is it possible to ask the technician to make some sort of parallel wiring, having one wire to upstairs, and another one downstairs?

B.Yond, hehe.
Yup, does not want to have second subscription.
Coz I only have 1 TV, and as of now, not sure where to put the TV yet.

So is it possible to parallel (or whatever it is called) wiring, so that 1 wiring goes downstairs, and the other goes upstairs?
