Ive updated to ios 5.1 and my battery drained to 99% in standby mode 3hours, 37minutes and usage 9minutes.
i'm sorry to say this, but just telling you guys fyi la okaythis isn't good to me, cause i'm on 5.0.1 with jb and i charge it to 100% at about 2am, and unplugged it and left into standby and the next day
it was 100% with 7hours, 23minutes standby and 19minutes usage
on 3G but with push notifications and location services tweaked to only use those that are important to me, im guessing that helps a bit?

This is true. You'll need the entire file for jailbreak purpose, so one way or another way, if the intention to jailbreak is there, download the firmware from iTunes.
By the way, in order to downgrade the firmware through iTunes, is it a must to have the iTunes updated to v10.6?
i don't think it's possible to downgrade after you've upgraded to 5.1 if apple stops signing the firmware for 5.0.1By the way, in order to downgrade the firmware through iTunes, is it a must to have the iTunes updated to v10.6?
i THINK la, not too sure, cause that's what everyone in the jailbreak community is saying, not to upgrade to 5.1 cause u can't downgrade it once apple stops signing the firmware
