Absconded with mine, material suppliers, windows supplier and his sub-con workers' money.

Leave a big mess with below-standard work and victims are looking for him if he is still in Johor.

If you read the note in the linked facebook, you will get the story in details and the photos.

HP number is still operating but will never show up, so only option is to spread info on him through online social media.

Either he is stopped or another victim to make him rich back in Indonesia.

Morale of the story is 9 out of 10 Indonesian contractor's will be your nightmare as he is typical in term of modus operandi.

It is typical with these ppl that 10 words spoken only 9.5 words can't be trusted. Unless you watched them in what they do, they do shxt and covers everything up before you can see them.

Very well said based on the trust worthy of the Indonesian workers. Before any one us award the renovation job to this people, have we ever thought of this ?
1. Who are we dealing with ? - illegal immigrants workers who doesnt pose any valid documents/permits
2. A man does not even have language skill to able to communicate in terms of drawings, paper and verbal and yet we can trust them on mutual basis.
3. A man that does not even have a valid company, CIDB license and even passport ?? That's where the 6P being implemented.
4. They are qualified to build under supervision by person in trade. Even people like us owner does not have the rightful skill to do the supervision.

At the end of th day, we can blame them but also we have to take some responsibility for trusting people like them. Because 'we thought we can save money by asking Indonesian to do ma, their boss Chinese but is the Indonesian worker that is doing" smile.gif
Im terribly sorry for ur mishap ..
Ps: try to trace him at the immigration department, if he has got his thumb printed. smile.gif

He operate in Taman Nusa Perintis/Gelang Patah areas where he did a few units recently.

These units end up paying much higher than initially quoted price and sub-standard work.

His trick is: In the beginning, the work is generally good to hoodwink you into thinking that everything would be alright and he is helping you - standard work and with some savings. It is a 100% con job and the moment you agree and paid a deposit, you are snared.

He also operates in the Tun Aminah where he usually get floor tiling from Hxx Yex shop and in Skudai area.

Hi Ruffyfluffy,

Do visit http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003102748980. and post your dad's incident there as well. If there are photo on that conman, do post it there as well.

This conman's info on Facebook is being posted via many channels to put the brake on him.

For forumers stating around those areas and in Johor generally, do spread this info to your neighbours and friends to be on lookout for him.

Sorry to hear what you have went thru. But whoever the contractor is, u should make payment "phase-by-phase". This my current contractor practice. After they start work for few days, he then ask for 1st pymt.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE
30% Confirmation Deposit
30% Upon starting renovation works
30% Upon completing of 50% of renovation works
10% Last payment(please full settle the last payment within 10 days after our complete renovation works)

Like I said, he is a polished conman.

Though I did practiced the progress payment thing, he managed to con me of extra payment before I pulled the brake hard on him.

It was then that all his tricks started to be exposed with friends' help and immediately disappeared as he knows the game is up.

I have sms and recordings records before he disappeared that fully exposed his con job.

See the Facebook page set up for details and photos and post there to share information to put the brakes on Indonesian contractors (and I have heard from existing local contractor taking that it is quite common and he had just rectify for one such owner).

With local contractors, they will not disappeared with the job uncompleted. With Indonesian contractors, it is common practice that they will create a mess once into the work, as well and put you at their mercy to milk you more or disappeared with uncompleted work.

He still tried to control me through other Indonesian proxies without showing face. Which is why he deserved to be stopped hopefully with online social media help.

If other similar victims post their incident on the face book page, it is a sort of public service to warn others.
