i just clean the route including the HF block. Found one plastic hair long stuck on the W.B, lolx.
indeed, this new EK reservoir got alot of plastic hair leftover from factory especially at the thread. Internal surface is rough. Bitspower reservoir is clean and smooth internal and externally. |

change the connector into 3pin fan header . plug in to mobo fan slot, by reading the rpm divide by the calibrate value to get the actual flow.

Whichever looks better to you
A lot of the time wc beyond a certain level is all cosmetics, the actual difference in temp maybe 1-2 and your ambient would play a bigger role. |

Apparently the backplate for Raystorm for LGA2011 is not compatible with RivE because the CPU backplate is bigger.. Need to order the fix from XSPC. Just a heads up for anyone considering to get Raystorm for their RivE.

Just use the 1366 bracket as owikh suggested. The cons of using the 1366 bracket is that you do not get the spring loaded frame to clamp down the cpu. So if the block was not installed properly you may get error 66 when you boot up the PC (something we encountered once

Even with the 1366 socket + x-socket the cpu backplate of rive is in the way. Maybe I am missing something here. Googled about it last night and it seems that it was an issue and XSPC provides a fix... |
