Hi guys. I've been calling up electrical shops in my area but all are out of stock. Does anyone know where I can still get sharp air purifier at reasonable price?

By reasonable price I mean:
FPF40 ~ RM 600 instead of RM 800
FPE50 ~ RM 900 instead of RM 1100

Thanks.

Been having the same situation like you, but today I accidentally opened up Lazada and voila, the model that I want is there on sale.
Guess what I'm trying to say is that you should consider looking into lazada, mudah or here for the alternatives.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do check them from time to time but don't seem to have the FPE50E model that I want.

Over the weekend I even found a deal to get KC-D60E for RM 1900 on ensogo but that's not the model I want so I let it go, as I already have a KC-A60E from which I concluded I do not need the humidifying feature.

Which model did you get? =]

Thanks kimsim for the sharing. I bought the KC-A60E a few years ago before it was replaced by KC-D60E. I do not know why they still offer KC-A50E but not the 40 or 60.

I noticed that those models with humidifier could last 10 years before filter replacement while the rest could only last 2 years. This FP-E50E on the other hand could last 5 years. Having said that, I'll take a closer look FUA80EW. I might still change my mind. Thanks.

Just to add to the body of knowledge, the filter replacement cost for Sharp purifiers cost in the region of RM450 to RM500, every two years.  The FUA80E would cost RM500 every time the filters are changed; it comes in a set which includes the HEPA and deodorizing filters.

Like you, I'm looking for the FPE50E but it is OOS in pretty much every retail store I've asked.  The House of Air Cleaner in PJ tells me that they expect it restocked at the end of November.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing and I'd like to share my findings if you don't mind.

Firstly, I would not recommend buying from house of air cleaner if you can wait more than two weeks. There's almost no discount. If you're happy paying the full price I'd recommend you to get that same model from TBM Jalan Klang lama. They sell it for RM 1k and might be cheaper if you could bargain (don't ask the lady in charge since it's impossible to get any discount from her). Of the few shops I asked, they're the first to replenish their stocks and their new stock is arriving this week so you can give them a call to check. And besides TBm, there're tones of other shops in PJ getting restock if you could wait another 2-3 weeks and they mostly sell below RM 1k for FPE50E.

Next, may I ask wheat are your source of information when you quoted RM400-500 for the replacement of filters (are these for FPE50E?)? I personally never asked the shop before and my only source is kimma2u. It seems that they sell genuine filter replacement for FUA28E/KC930E/FUZ31E for RM 120-130. I have been presuming that the filter replacement cost would be in the vicinity of RM300 (HEPA + carbon deorderizer) based on these prices. >_< Now that I look closely these are all much smaller units and so the real cost for bigger units would cost more. I think I better call up Sharp directly to ask about the filter cost as the shops will likely just charge you more being the middle man for the filters

But please do share with me here if you have any info you think might be helpful. Thanks!

The haze is almost gone. Probably at the end as monsoon come.

If you guys can wait, just wait till the yrs end and see got any promotion or not.

Most of the shop stock a lot to sale. But once haze gone, it is a dead stock when demand down. They will try to push out for sale later on.

Sound quite legit and intelligent. Actually I can wait given that the haze isn't that bad (these few days) and I already have one air purifier at home. Of course it is equally plausible that there's a backlog of demand built up That the supply cannot fully satisfy until much later and by then the haze is back...
