Guys I m looking to buying a cheap air purifier for my small room. Haze problem la.  Anybody can share user experience for Sharp FUA28EW. How much is the filter? How long u need to switch on the air purifier?
Or can intro other similar models/brands. Thx

Nice. I dont need big capacity. The room is only 12m2. The FUA28-EW shud be sufficient i think. 

how much the filter cost. HEPA only rite? not activated carbon filter?

For info, bought the sharp FPF30LH for rm448 instead of rm549 at best denki sbg parade. Why i chose this model? Suits my budget and room size.

This is for 21m2.

For FPF30, the cheapest so far i have seen is sold by a lyn forumer. He is a sharp distributor or something. Harvey norman is about RM20 more expensive but still cheaper than the RRP.

I saw in the current IT expo in mid valley, FPF40 is selling at either 499 or 599. Their FPF30 is 399.

As for the FPF40...i think it's RM599. 499 is too cheap....lol. My mistake.

Btw, how is your FPF30 so far?

I was reading the specs last night. Seems that the HEPA life for these 2 models is only 2 years.feel like it's a bit short.

I'm still debating whether to get either of these models or pay more for higher end model. Right now, besides purify the air, i'm looking for one that can suck in pet dander as well.

I think I will go grab this one for my room today.

I have been reading for many weeks about air purifier. Really having a tough time to choose. But with my bad cough since 2 weeks ago, i have decided on sharp.just not sure which model though.

All harvey norman branches have ran out of stock.they only have the FPF40 left.

I bought the FPF40. RM599 like i mentioned before.but i have to wait till tuesday since they have ran out of stock.

elsewhere, it's RM799. So ok lah the price i get.

Bought it at RM 395 at my usual electrical shop in Ampang.
It only has 1 filter ie hepa compared with the 3 filters in the unit I bought last week.
But good enough for my bed room.

I saw just now that KCD60E is RM1699. But i didn't notice if it's KCD60EW...didn't notice if the W is there...lol
This model has humidifier...that is why it's more expensive

I'm not an expert, this is just based on what I have read online...

the filter needs to be cleaned once in a while and depending on the usage. I understand that AP can give indication/ signal to owner when it's time to be cleaned.

The HEPA can be changed after some time of usage. Sharp sells the filter. I saw in Harvey Norman this morning, the salesperson gave 2 filters to this couple as they bought a unit. not sure FOC or they bought them.

For Sharp, I'm pretty sure it can be done DIY. just open the back compartment and change it.
