Guys I m looking to buying a cheap air purifier for my small room. Haze problem la.  Anybody can share user experience for Sharp FUA28EW. How much is the filter? How long u need to switch on the air purifier?
Or can intro other similar models/brands. Thx
*
I bought this at Harvey Norman at RM 395. I think SenHeng also same price.. I have not opened the package but it has got HEPA filter too, so I think shud b ok. For 21m2. RRP is RM 549..

There are higher range products in the market with much higher pricings.. Maybe has more advantages?

Nice. I dont need big capacity. The room is only 12m2. The FUA28-EW shud be sufficient i think.  smile.gif

For info, bought the sharp FPF30LH for rm448 instead of rm549 at best denki sbg parade. Why i chose this model? Suits my budget and room size.
*
As mentioned earlier, Harvey Norman selling at RM 395 only. During MyCyberSale, SenHeng also selling at RM 395 but now increased aldy..
Same with me, on low budget but need something to purify the air..

For FPF30, the cheapest so far i have seen is sold by a lyn forumer. He is a sharp distributor or something. Harvey norman is about RM20 more expensive but still cheaper than the RRP.

I saw in the current IT expo in mid valley, FPF40 is selling at either 499 or 599. Their FPF30 is 399.
*
If 499 for FPF40, it's considered very cheap.. But expo and road shows, can say it's just for that few days only. They usually have promo for certain items only, and these items can be way below RRP. Most of the times not available at shops..

Maybe I shud be more specific about the special price 395 for FPF30. I got it at Harvey Norman @ The Curve.
I been to HN @ Paradigm, I din find this promo there.

Can share more info about the forumer? Can consider getting from him other Sharp items too.. smile.gif

His name is Edwin8373. He has several threads for Sharp products. You can go to his shop's website too. He has a physical shop. Can check out the address in the website.

As for the FPF40...i think it's RM599. 499 is too cheap....lol. My mistake.
*
Noted and thanks for the info.. smile.gif

Yeah, I think it shud be 599 too.. Hehe

I was reading the specs last night. Seems that the HEPA life for these 2 models is only 2 years.feel like it's a bit short.

I'm still debating whether to get either of these models or pay more for higher end model. Right now, besides purify the air, i'm looking for one that can suck in pet dander as well.
*
Yeah, just two years for the HEPA filter. If non-smoking room..
But how long can other models or brands last?
But please bear in mind those filters will cost much more compared to this one. smile.gif

For the price, I think FPF30 is worth every cent for its various functions. Of cos, higher end models will give you much more, but again, it's depending on ur budget.

AND haze mode included! Couldnt ask for more for just 395! Hehe

I snapped these photos from the box. Hope it helps.. smile.gif

Already using the KCD60E for my living room which I bought last week and it seems to improve the air quality in my house.
*
Yeah, it will. Btw, I used it for my living room. Feel it too! smile.gif

All harvey norman branches have ran out of stock.they only have the FPF40 left.
*
I guessed its price is too cheap vs its functions, hence sold out...
U can try ur luck at SenHeng. But u may want to call them first as these prices could be applicable for online purchases only.
Good luck!

Bought it at RM 395 at my usual electrical shop in Ampang.
It only has 1 filter ie hepa compared with the 3 filters in the unit I bought last week.
But good enough for my bed room.
*
But mind you, KCD60EW is few times more expensive than FPF30... It's only reasonable that they give u more filters and larger coverage area.. smile.gif

Did you happen to see how much is FPF40 at that shop?

I saw just now that KCD60E is RM1699. But i didn't notice if it's KCD60EW...didn't notice if the W is there...lol
This model has humidifier...that is why it's more expensive
*
I think "W" means white. B indicates black colour.. smile.gif

I'm not an expert, this is just based on what I have read online...

the filter needs to be cleaned once in a while and depending on the usage. I understand that AP can give indication/ signal to owner when it's time to be cleaned.

The HEPA can be changed after some time of usage. Sharp sells the filter. I saw in Harvey Norman this morning, the salesperson gave 2 filters to this couple as they bought a unit. not sure FOC or they bought them.

For Sharp, I'm pretty sure it can be done DIY. just open the back compartment and change it.
*
Yes, you are right. For FPF30, just open it and change. In fact, before you can use it, you will need to open it and dispose of the plastic bag. There, they have taught you where is the HEPA filter. Hehe..
Other Sharp models probably the same.
