Bought this unit yesterday - Sharp KC D60E.
Very quiet, has haze and humidifier function.
The thing is I don't think I need the humidifier function as its 73 in my living room.
Ideal is below 60.
Note that Malaysia is 62 humidity on average so I don't think we can get below 60 in the house.
With the aircon it goes to 63.
Wondering if I should now buy a dehumidifier.

Where got quite. Mid and high is noisy.

In aircon, can go 54. Sometime I on it before 2hr wakeup. And humidifier to 60.

I just use auto so don't play around with mid or high.
On haze mode it is quite loud.
Don't walk past it when you fart.
The auto mode goes to high immediately to remove the smell biggrin.gif

Anyone here using this model?

Model: KCD40E with humidifying function

Main reason im choosing this is due to the humidifying function. But not sure if there's any other model I should consider too, and its more expensive

I'm not sure f the dehumidifying function is useful here in Malaysia.
When I googled the optimum is 40% buy my house without air con is 72% on average.
In air con room I can get to low 60s.
So looks like humidity is not a problem.

I think I will go grab this one for my room today.
Already using the KCD60E for my living room which I bought last week and it seems to improve the air quality in my house.

Bought it at RM 395 at my usual electrical shop in Ampang.
It only has 1 filter ie hepa compared with the 3 filters in the unit I bought last week.
But good enough for my bed room.

But mind you, KCD60EW is few times more expensive than FPF30... It's only reasonable that they give u more filters and larger coverage area.. smile.gif

Did you happen to see how much is FPF40 at that shop?

I saw just now that KCD60E is RM1699. But i didn't notice if it's KCD60EW...didn't notice if the W is there...lol
This model has humidifier...that is why it's more expensive

Huh ? I paid RM 2400 last week.
If I remember correctly the 40 is RM 1699 thereabouts.

The salesperson said with the haze worsening, many shops will and have increased the price. Including them....lol.

Harvey norman has ran out of stock for the FPF30 model. The HN guy said they ordered 800 units for the RM395 promotion, all sold out.i went to Ikano and Mid Valley branches this morning.

Sharp must be very happy with the haze
