Yes, some are purely air purifier, but most main stream air purifier I see in Malaysia comes with some sort of ionizer. I have a AustinAir air purifier at home, which is purely an air purifier/scrubber, works very well for me especially since i have dogs at home. There are other pure air purifier, like Alen Paralda, but that is gonna cost a bomb...... but i think the sharp plasmacluster have both .. generate ion and also suck the air and run through the filter ..
