Sharp's track record is good.

i used to but no longer use Phillips. Surprisingly but true, Panasonic is new to the market.

Definitely go for sharp. My office using it for over 8yrs. The sensor more sensitive than my nose.

But you got to check your room size with the model. Model too small cannot cover the big room.

The design is a bit boring but I did some research and most of them say that Sharp is better in terms of durability.

I m not sure the sharp rm400. My office 1 cost RM1600. It can detect the bad smell and air pollution.

Will change to red and the fan start to go high when detect. Even my nose can't smell anything. It is scary when I alone work at night. Macam ada ghost when it suddenly change mode. sweat.gif

I think need at least RM1K and above only got air pollution sensor.
In fact i am surveying the coway model Air Purifier Aires AP-1009CH

http://www.coway.com.my/ProductDetails.aspx?PID=31

which probably cost RM60 per month.
This one should come with air pullution sensor.

Why RM60/mth ? Is it for rent?

Not sure what is the quality of coway. But you got to makesure the filter or hepa filter is available after many many yrs.

I pay an expensive lesson when buy a korea air purifier. After sometime, no more selling and can't find the filter. Got to throw away the unit. Cost me RM2k for that stupid unit.

It is renting one.
RM60, minimum 2 years, and cover all filters change.

hepa and deodorizer filter i guess is standard.
So more expensive air purifier probably have 4 or 5 filters such as virus filter, etc.

A bit expensive to use for RM60/mth.

Prefer own 1 which can last many yrs. The hepa filter can last at least 3yrs.

Standard air purifier should have hepa filter, filter and ionizer. The rest is sensor or anything gadget add in. Have the 3 function already good enough.

Seriously I don't think HEPA can last 3 years.
probably you have to vacuum it out every 3 months and change every year.
Make sense?
If buy the machien i think is RM1900 with one year warranty.
If rent then 5 years warranty and RM60 include change the filter every 6 months or 12 months (for certain filter some is 6 months, 12 months or 18 months if not mistaken).

But haven't really decided yet.

Recently bought a Honeywell DA-5018 to solve dust issue in my room. Seems to be working well. Was comparing it to the AAF PA200 but decided to get the honeywell. seems more reliable/powerful and I have no need for the other features.

Bought it from the honeywell shop in Tropicana City Mall since its the cheapest place i could find selling it..RM89x with free extra HEPA filter worth around RM200.

Expensive cry.gif

I want to know how it helps with the dust issue? Mind sharing?

Yes, some are purely air purifier, but most main stream air purifier I see in Malaysia comes with some sort of ionizer. I have a AustinAir air purifier at home, which is purely an air purifier/scrubber, works very well for me especially since i have dogs at home. There are other pure air purifier, like Alen Paralda, but that is gonna cost a bomb....
