Mattressdepot bro, look like you used a lot Blueair, how's the maintenance cost ? compare to LG, which is more reliable ?

Wow, just noticed Blueair price is very expensive, rich guy  notworthy.gif

Blueair Particle filter is about Rm100++ per piece, if the environment air is ok, i think the filter can last 1.5-2 years.

the difference between Blueair and Sharp / Panasonic air purifier is that the latter machines will create many dusts on the floor as the machines emit ion to the air. whereas BLueair, the machine emits ion inside the unit, so no issue seeing the dusts surrounding the air purifier

if not mistaken panasonic use the term "Deodorising Filter" and this should b carbon filter. Do double check with seller.

If u bought it, do help to feedback on how good it is at catching mosquitoes ya. Also do check how much the UV light cost, i m using UV lamp mosquito catcher but nd to change the bulb every 2 months, on in 24/7, bulb spoil often. However, sharp is using LED light, should b more durable but also check whether it is replaceable and the cost.

saw this video, very impressive as it is able to trap over 100 mosquitoes. However, after rethinking, possible that they release 1000 mosquitoes but only trap 100+ and the room is small, no other furniture there and 24 hours so long. So, really need an actual user feedback to be more accurate.

Hi all:

Need some advise on air purification.
I just need HEPA and good carbon filter, I have to say that the AMWAY air purifier is great because their carbon filter is really nice, I really enjoy the freshness of the air smell coming out from this filter, the only downside is, it is expansive and replacement of HEPA and Carbon filter already cost more then RM1k.

Now I am looking for cheaper alternative, what do you guys recommend? I am looking at Sharp FPJ60LW, how is it compare to Amway?

I am also considering COWAY but not sure is it really worth it with their monthly plan.

to answer this, here is an actual unit that i m using in my shop. It is impossible to say that it is useless as if no air purifier.

Venta has been tested by more than 10,000 doctors worldwide and even NASA is using VENTA technology, why not other brands?

yup, confirm, u can c all the pollutants trapped under water as per my video above, can always come my shop to verify and c the actual thing.

However, there will still be dust at home. From my honest usage review, it helps to reduce and not totally remove them.

Dust is not just from air, it is also from our skin (dead skin), our clothing, tissue papers and etc etc. Once the dust is on the floor or furnitures, it is impossible for any air purifiers to suck them up except vacuum cleaners. Air purifiers only reduce air borne dust. So the best is to put the unit near to window or door where air borne dust is coming in from.

I feel if this is the case similar to air purifiers. Water based ones are much economical to run vs filter based as their filters are expensive to change often.

I cant find article about nasa actually using venta air
Nasa did invented their own air purifier that converted ethylene to water.
Now the technology is being used in airocide purifier.

The consumer report stated venta did not do better. I am doing research to look for value for money air purifier.

"The check. We tested the LW 14 and LW 44 (shown) models as we usually test air purifiers, by measuring their clean-air-delivery rate with the fine dust and cigarette smoke (0.1 to 3 microns) that are of more concern to people with respiratory problems. To test their humidifying chops, we placed each device in a sealed chamber and let it run overnight, recording the humidity level in the room.

The Consumer Reports take. The claim of ridding the air of particles as small as 10 microns is kind of a nonstarter: A 10-micron or larger particle is so big that it's unlikely to remain aloft in the air for long.

Both models we tested proved no better at removing dust and smoke than no air purifier at all. They were, however, efficient at adding moisture to the room. Note that they lack a sensor and controls to let you set a humidity level. Without those features, humidity could rise too high and contribute to mold and mildew growth. What’s more, the Venta-Airwashers are pricey and require you to buy water additive and cleaning solution—a cost of about $90 per year."

If it work for u, good for u la
I pretty sensitive to dust n overclaim products.

Pls take note that the article was written more than 10 years ago 😅

yeah, i read it but the report is totally different from the result that i m using it. Misleading to say it is like no air purifier at all.

The report does not have any videos to show their testing or evidence to back their report. The dust in my machine as per video is the best evidence to show that the product works, i dont say it will be better than other air purifiers in the market but at least it shows that the machine does trap dust and pollutant in water as what they claim.

regarding the report claim
"Note that they lack a sensor and controls to let you set a humidity level. Without those features, humidity could rise too high and contribute to mold and mildew growth"

Venta humidify air with cold evaporation technology (Advertised by Venta). Actually it is not really technology but a natural process of evaporation. When air is cold it becomes dry, dry air picks up moisture in the water. When air is hot, it has moisture, as the hot air has water molecule, it is unable to pick up additional moisture.

Try drying a wet shirt in your room, with air con on, it will get dried within a night or few hours but it u just leave it in your room without air con, it wont dry that fast.

SO, venta humidify the air though natural evaporation process, It does not produce steam or spray mist into the air like a diffuser, so it will never cause over humidification and that is why it does not require a SENSOR.

As shown in video, tested at home.
2nd Floor with venta
Humidity : 70%
temperature : 32.9
Pm2.5 : 8

2nd floor without venta
Humidity : 66%
temperature : 32.7
Pm2.5 : 10

1st Floor without venta
Humidity : 63%
temperature : 32.5
Pm2.5 : 14

As hot air rises up, top floor temperature is slightly higher and humidity slightly higher is normal. it does not cause humidity to rise too high as mentioned in the website.

So based on testing with measuring tools and videos, the report in the website is proven inaccurate.

I think air purifier and humidifier combo would be more beneficial then just a humidifier in my opinion. It is little bit expensive but it also gives more advantages then just a air purifier.

IMHO, we dont need humidifier bcos in msia humidity is very high.
Some aircon have dry mode, use that but cannot use prolonged bcos below 40% humidity will make ur skin dry n itchy.
