If the screen is totally blank and black, how do you see "some few black spot on the screen"?

It's the Wacom digitizer grid lying underneath the screen for pen detection. Besides finger detection , the Note also has Wacom tech no recognize pen input for better accuracy during sketching, note taking, etc with the S-Pen. That's the only possible explanation I can think of, and I don't think anyone should worry much about it.

Try the HK KK1 lean rom
You have to install yourself some of the missing apps from the supplied zip file

Correct just flash zip from recovery
You use chainfire cwm app if firmware in tar format

Flash it than you will know

Always do a backup
If you have read the rom details you will know it is a wipe it clean rom.  All your stuffs will be deleted

im on HK Rom 2.3.6 now and flash FM 1.2 Kernel and looks like my batt usage is better now.

im using HK rom as suggest by Uncle Benny and flash the kernel to FM 1.2. dont feel lag with launcher pro and touchwiz. so far its smooth like my S2. you can try to install sparepart plus to tweak the animation.

You need to extract it down to zimage and copy it to internal sdcard if you wish to use the CWM app to flash

Or you can boot into  recovery mode to flash the whole zip file

Another rom you guys can try. Android 2.3.6 based on XXKA. This one is from the famed developer AngeloM ( of SGS II ).

You might need to reinstall superuser and busybocx ( get from market ) to have root functions back. It comes with CWM app but limited ( cannot do backup and restore). You can have full CWM functions by rebooting into recovery from the CWM app

How do you feel about the HK rom? is the lag noticable? battery life?
