Well, not sure anyone having this issue. My Note hang for the first time today and totally shut down when i'm trying to call someone... it scares me (never used android before) and by pressing all the possible buttons nothing happened. So by pressing and holding the on/off button it restarts again. However these few days i find the phone is getting lagging and the response is getting slower compare to the day i got it. Any idea any sifus?

Sometimes when you put the phone long enough at your ear while calling or receiving a call., the screen went off (battery saving features) but not the phone itself. You can enable back the screen by press home button.
Lags mostly depend on what apps reside inside your phone. You can try rebooting your phone by long press your power button (until Samsung logo comes back on again)
*
It's not while during a call. I press to unlock the phone and want to make calls, then it totally hanged! just don't know what's happening. Also my phone battery just last me for about 1 day 10+ hours... Don't know how you guys can last for 2 days.

I already turn off using wifi, gps and there's no online on the phone, just purely phone and sms. but i'm using bluetooth though for my handsfree bluetooth. Off when i'm at home.

did you close the app after u use? then you could try clear ur ram
try use task manager hmm.gif
*
Almost once a while (few times in a day) i'll go into task manager to see any "unclosed" apps to exit it and clear the ram. But still the ram remains at 500++-600++mb, after release it goes to around 300++ but then after awhile it goes up again.

You battery will get better as more full cycle charging done.
Btw..isn't 30+ hours not enough for you.??
p/s - bluetooth also use battery juice :-)
*
It looks good with that 30+ hours but it seems like i remember you posted your phone can last you for about 2 days? still cracking my head how to squeeze the juice out of this monster. blush.gif

bro you are making a mistake my closing your apps manually. it is better to press back to exit an app so it will be in sleep model. Android os have their funny way of managing apps, so if you keep closing it manually you will in fact use more battery.
*
Well, i'm using the back button to exit those apps. Just went into task manager to see if there's any "unclosed" apps. But most of the time is using back button.

Guys, I just want to share my findings on battery saving that is not well documented.... I've done researched on this since day 1 I got the Note on 11.11.11 and after much testing with BetterBatteryStats and Battery Monitor Widget, please allow me to present to you my findings... this should apply to all android phone, I will not talked about those more commonly battery saving method that is well known all over the internet, just google it. One good source is here by fellow LYN member jjamain :
http://jjpda.blogspot.com/2011/10/android-battery.html

Anyway, the below look daunting and too much steps or too long. Some may think it's too technical but overtime when you'll get use to it and understand it, it really is simple. I hope you can give it a go below and feedback to all us so we can have good data on this :

1. Install BetterBatteryStats - it's free at XDA but pls consider to buy it from the market to support the excellent software development... I did smile.gif

2. Install Battery Monitor Widget - it's free from the market and had a nice battery widget and you can un-install it after you achieve your goal

3. Charge your phone to 100% before you sleep, unplugged the power cable and put your phone to sleep, recommended to leave it overnight to have better reading, if you dun hv the time and in urge to test it right away, then 2-3 hours sleep would be good enough to get a good reading

4. The next day when you wake up, open BetterBatteryStats and show the option Partial Wakelock and Since Unplugged, by the default the stats is ordered by time which we will concentrate first. Tap left soft key > actions >history, it will show you a graph and what you should be looking at is awake and screen on.

Or you can go to Battery Usage under Setting > About and you should see Awake and Screen On should roughly have the same blue bar... if your Awake is more then your Screen On then read on....

If you did not installed any battery saving apps, you will most likely see RIJL, GTALK_ASYNC_CONN, AlarmManager with high wakelocks. Else you may see your battery saving apps likely in the top of the list eg. Juice Defender... so in actual fact the battery saving apps may eat more juice than save it smile.gif

Now WTH is wakelocks, in layman term, wakelock will prevent your phone from sleeping or when your phone is sleeping an apps or service may make a wakelock call to perform something so even though your phone is sleeping it is interrupted to check on something in the background, eg. weather sync, account sync etc. No one like to be interrupted or disturbed when we are in deep slumber right? So is your previous Note smile.gif... You can read read all about wakelock and betterbatterystats from XDA or google it...

5. So if you see RIJL and GTALK_ASYNC_CONN as your top wakelock "performer", the culprit is likely Google Maps, you can then either uninstall it, freeze it or disable it, then repeat step 3-4 to test the result. While you are at it, logout from latitude, it's another major battery draining apps.

6. Now tap the left soft key in BetterBatteryStats and then touch Order by Count - this show that the service/apps is calling wakelock to your note multiple time in a very short time frame.... you should likely see AlarmManager in top 5 (also likely u will see the RIJL, GTALK_ASYNC_CONN and your battery saving apps as top "performer"). If you are using the stock Calendar then that's your problem, replace it with others calendar and try again to see if AlarmManager give the same high reading, if yes, replace it again... until one that does not cause AlarmManager to have high wakelock... I'm still testing this.. so if you guys have good result with any 3rd party calendar, please feedback.

Lastly, if your Android System has high wakelock or high processing % then the culprit is Network Time. I know most of us use this setting because we want the most accurate time but we'll be better of turning it off. To do this : Settings->Date&Time-> untick Automatic

Oh, that's not the last... wink.gif it's recommended to calibrate your battery even if it's new after 7 to 10 days of usage... I've not done this but I will do it on the 21st which is exactly 10 days of usage... will calibrate using Battery Calibration from the market, will update later on this after I perform the calibration...

That's all guys, I hope with the above, you can enjoy a longer battery life duration... I hope this help you all... do let me know if you have any issue and I will try to answer it with my limited due diligence thus far on this topic... This is my contribution to my fellow Note users... enjoy smile.gif

Good info sharing there entaro! By the way, how do you stop those apps that is running at the back even after you stop it and it'll turn on back again? For example the Google map thingy.
