wanna ask... i installed mobo player but unlike sgs2, it does not prompt me to install another component (codec). is it still necessary on the new version of mobo player? i ask coz the same files i can play on sgs2, i currently can't play on the note.

if yes... there's Arm v7, Arm v6, etc... which one?

Tried 2 days on this KKA firmware...Worst than Our Stock KK1 - Battery usage

first thing you get an android phone - disable the Live Wallpaper!! You just need to use a Live Wallpaper when you are going to a gathering with Apple phones users. Other than that, please use a dark colour wallpaper to achieve max battery life - especially true for AMOLED screen.

Right ! I only put on the live wallpaper just to show off to my iphone friends !!! My favorite live wallpaper is Koi live wallpaper - beautiful and stunning graphics

anyway, just sharing some other bits about note, compared to sgs2...

* note's screen somehow is not as 'vibrant' as the sgs2. but its not pixelated, etc like what some websites have mentioned about pentile, etc... maybe you can see it when the image is blown up or you look very closely with magnifying glass. so far, i dun notice different in terms of jagged edges, etc... but the screen just not as vibrant/ colourful.

* i think somehow this note can't play movie files bigger than 4GB. that's what i'm suspecting right now but no time to test further... same file on same SD card... could be played on sgs2. both tested using mobo player with armv7 addon.

update1:
battery life... hmmm... i guess have to let battery 'calibrate' a bit... battery down to 60% since unplugged from wall at 6am this morning. but maybe today busy downloading stuffs to the phone via wifi. also had a factory reset. no gaming and browsing yet. only 1 account setup so far got email. i've not even started with the other accounts and also setting up twitter.

anyone staying in pj area willing to root my note for me ? i give up totally.

after days and days i still cant get rooted. i'm either thinking one of u kind souls to help me do the job, or i'll straight send to a mobile phone shop and pay em to root for me.

used 4 computers, various windows OS, done all but still cant get my superuser status. haihs, how to use sheep rom like this

any suggestions on where i can find good quality and free wallpapers?

haha.... Koi is my favorite too, even bought the paid version just to see more fishes.

you sure going to mobile phone shop is safe? and they have the technical knowhow to root your Note? Getting some help from members here will be safer.

My battery life somehow is acceptable... I'm 24/7 on push email (3 accs) and push twitter... Plus browsing and others stuff... It can last for 14 hours...

My binary counter has increased to 1. Is there any way to reset the binary counter?

not at the moment. your only option to get a 0 on a binary counter is to quickly sell it off and buy a new phone.

how to check that?

Boot your phone to download mode manually ( vol down+home+power ) . At the top 3rd line you will see:
Custom Binary download : YES ( # counts ) , where # is the number of times you have flash
