will have a try on the HARPIC toilet cleaning powder, my fren used acid before, pour for too long time LoL, the gaps in between the tiles become very deep hahaha but that was his mistake for letting the acid on the tiles for too long time la

QUOTE(kelvyn @ Nov 18 2011, 08:22 AM) Washing with acid is more for removal of cement left overs from the tiling work, etc. After the removal of the cement, no need to use acid anymore. Just the normal washing detergent will do. How about those "wax" alike thing stick on the tiles? Mine one is white horse tiles, according to the developer, that is super glossy tiles, when I clean the tiles, it doesnt looks like cement, but more like wax for me.. herm..If there is no cement left overs on the tile, no need for acid. |

Just tested HARPIC Powder last week, 2 Thumbs up for the effect, superb clean and you can even use it to remove the cement, and good thing is you do not have to bear the effect like acid

QUOTE(Jo_da48 @ Dec 12 2011, 12:07 AM) [attachmentid=2581176] Yes, this is the one I bought and used. Btw, jusco cheaper, RM12 only. I am using this to wash my whole house, total bottle used:3Just get this from Tesco and hope is the correct one...but then noticed it was use for toilet bowl, may I know what and how the correct way use it on tiles? Thanks in advance for advice... Damn nice and clean until my neighbour come and ask me, I use what acid to clean until so clean LoL, one thing good by using this Harpic is that it do not have the drawback like acid (u have to worry ur stainless steel and the erosion effect). The way I used to clean the tiles is as below: 1) Wet your tile with some water 2) The Harpic red color cap, I use 1 cupful for every 10ft row of tiles, then start gosong using brush and Scotch Brite as below Scotch Brite 3) Clean away the bubble waters with clean water 4) Dried ur tiles up and mop again using plain water, if you are using white horse glossy tiles, u cant feel the "smoothness" on the tile's surface. I already finished the tiles cleaning stage including wall tiles, all tiles I cleaned using same method, the best way is that, Pearl Glo or sealer on tiles are able to be removed using same ways! P/S: Recommended to use glove when you wash the tiles in long duration as the Harpic will cause your hand very dry. Also the powder will react like ENO when you pour it on the wet surface, avoid the vapor as it doesnt smell good. I accidentally suck the gas through my mouth, it taste salty This post has been edited by leeyung: Dec 12 2011, 01:04 AM |

QUOTE(weikee @ Dec 12 2011, 01:51 PM) You won't get the kind of cleanness if it done by maid. Well maybe professional post-renovation cleaner could give this result. But the price yeah agreed, the maid also simply clean clean onlySince move in, my wife and me slowly clean most of the area. And Washroom is the hardest part. Slowly but surely is being clean. We have one more toilet to clean, rest are good. Later I will patch up the paint, and silicon the small portion of the wall so it won't get dirty when mop (I don't have skirting on marble floor) |

QUOTE(wrb7878 @ Dec 12 2011, 04:15 PM) now i also thinking whether i should clean all my tiles...and ask my contractor don't touch it. For me, due to this issue, I rather spend harder time to clean it myself, you know la contractor just simply clean and dont "take care" of your tiles, what they wan is FASTcos normally he will clean the house after renovation done...i worry the worker spoil my tiles... scratch kao kao! |

QUOTE(noien @ Dec 25 2011, 11:58 PM) used harpic and Scotch brite on outdoor rough tiles.very hard to clean.1 hard clean less than 6ft of tiles. Yeap, agreed, rough tiles damn hard to clean and harpic do not work effectively. I spent half day to clean my outdoor tiles, damn tired, btw I use the scrap tiles (small pieces tiles where contractor cut left one) and use it as "rubber" to rub off the paint on the rough tiles sad part is , it is not even clean |

Herm, weird, I did the same thing but nothing happen to my sink, mind to share out the photos for the mentioned stain & rust?I used it to wash my tabletop tiles, and the water flow to the sink. And my sink has stains all over...my brand new sorento sink now look so ugly...I wanna cry. Harpic powder is like acid oso le, eats inside and rust... |
