Dunno why some types of people always like to make themselves feel better by making motherhood, across-the-board, impossibly definitive conclusions like "engineering is better than accounting". In all industries, you have some greater roles, lesser ones and all have to work together to keep the corporate engine running. It is pointless to generalize.
*
smile.gif +1 it is about teamwork.

Guys,

My friend got a job offer in SG in a bank. One of  her pre-joining question checklist things ask:

"Are you currently engaged in any other business either as a director, proprietor, partner, officer, trustee, employee, agent or otherwise locally and overseas?"

What's the implication of the bank asking this kind of question ah? He got directorship in his father's company in Malaysia (with director fee) but he is 100% sleeping one, don't even get paid, just that the family use his name to be director and get director fee for money for the family expenses etc.

If you want to uphold the principle that you are worth so much so much, then, good luck to you to find a job that really can pay you well above all others even though you have no qualification. It is not impossible to find such job but it is just the time matters. It could be next week, it could be the next 6 months and until you feel frustrated as good job with good pay is not easy to come by unless economy is booming and every where is employing staffs. So, now it is the time to prove reality vs principle.... biggrin.gif

that is the reality here with "paper".
recommend JB King to study part time for "paper", continuously "professional" development when get a new job again. our plant china/india labour did/doing some part time courses in order to get working permit renew.

if one does not have experience in welding, the cert is just "paper".
better go for API 510/570 which again require welding experience.
why don't go to PMP?

Now that I'm not in Oil&Gas, I figure out CWI is more versatile compared to API, also CWI has got subsidize for PR.

I always have the perception that PMP is more for IT industry? no?

nowadays, a lot of PE profile in m'sia are with PMP + better salary. go through IEM website then you will get more info.
