May I confirm if PR application failed, we need to wait at least half year before can reapply right? Tried to browse ICA site but couldnt seems to find this information.

Thanks.

Hi,

Please try to call ICA for appeal procedure instead of making a new application.

just wondering
when we apply for PR, we have to get some kind of approval/chop from our current company right?
what if we sent our application, are we allowed to change company or there will be some complication etc?
*
yes, you can get company declaration letter from your HR, or alternatively just write a declaration letter yourself. If i remember correctly, you're not allow to switch company while applying for PR

Something i read.. .many said appeal will be successful if you have any changes since the first time they rejected your application.. Means if you get promoted or get a pay raise.. some of the changes for example.
Many said that if appeal based on the first application without any additional changes.. chances are not good.

hi,

if there are not changes, what make your second application out shine the first?

take note that if you've only worked for less than 6 months, there will be a penalty that you will have to pay if you change companies and reapply the work permit.

mine to share with us what're the penalty? I understand that the work permit is taking care by the employer hence we don't apply work permit ourselves.

i realize those from sabah/sarawak goes back a week earlier for CNY, and they come back to SG during CNY week..

why is it so different than CNY in peninsular?
*
You can't drive back, and no, i didn't go back a week earlier and not coming back on the CNY week as well biggrin.gif

p/s: the air ticket used to be so expensive when the budget air flight is not exist, and weeks before CNY you can't even get any available ticket and you don't have a choice to take BUS. That's why i guess people from east malaysia usually plan to go back slightly early to spend more time with their parent, and to avoid the expensive tickets.

QUOTE(Aloong @ Jan 30 2012, 11:04 PM)
Anyone here with a Malaysian passport that starts with "H"?
Wat does it means?

My passport was all the while start with "A" until it was damaged one day. Then wen I got the replaced passport it started with H.
Then I just recently renewed it (as it was expiring), it's still starts with H.
I tried to google it, but no answer, except that for those old Malaysian IC, H means he/she is from Sabah. Ironically I was born in Sabah oso.

So does the H means I was born in Sabah, or it is to show that my passport was damaged before, or any other reason? Maybe a sabahan here can tell with me which alphabet your passport  starts with?

Sorry, not sure under which sub-forum to ask the question above, but I suppose everyone here uses their passport frequently, so I post my question here.

Hi Aloong, number H is for sabahan, but when you renew you passport, they could mistaken and printed it using other alphabet. I have renewed once and both letter is H. My sister did renew recently which she got an A as well, as informed by the officer they made a mistake, and them advice them next time when they renew, they can changed it back, but i think it's still better to ask them change on the spot, reprint it and make sure it is correct.

So i think if you're sabahan, your passport was printed wrongly on the first time and got it corrected now. That's just my thought.
