Malaysia & Indonesia got so many kroni and corrupt gov, how to say dun wan to sell sand to SG??? As long as got people (or country) willing to pay money, they will figure a way to steal sand. Otherwise how do you explain the constant sand theft in Kuala Selangor???
*
sand expensive ma? they put sand on the sea, later kena tsunami how?
Imagine sg kena tsunami, will it recover fast like japan?

Added on November 29, 2011, 8:39 pmno wonder many people got kidney disease, coz sg still used water from malaysia and they consume it from the westafel. They should use water purifier. I saw the experiment the water has many chemicals and electricity

I personally prefer the colour reproduction of a LCD than LED, mainly because the LED looks over-saturated to my eyes most of the times..

Funny, what if SG can't recover as fast as jp? Will you leave SG now? Where else you want to go? Malaysia?

Another funny thought about the water. I really wonder am I replying to a Malaysian minister, you really think like them.

Japanese are known for their kamikaze principle and willing to die for their nation. Japan has recovered fast from the tsunami tragedy and I always admire their strong spirit.
If a strong tsunami hits Singapore, that's it...habis. Singapore will be wiped off from the world map and their people will start to kneel down begging for international aid from other nations and there will be influx of singaporeans entering Johor. Johor oso hit by flood 4 years ago but things have gone back to normal.

Ok guys thank you for all your input to my questions but not enough. I need more input for my dissertation, thanks in advance anyway. I am collecting info from various sources and LYN is one of the source. Hope more comments will come in tomorrow. Thanks.

Dissertation? haha!! No need to pretend lah, all I see are some jibes at Singapore.

Since we are on fantastical thoughts here, how about this - a break up of the Federation of Malaysia and Johor being colonized or bought by Singapore?

singapore is getting sand from cambodia, vietnam, philipines, myanmar, malaysia and indonesia......however, there are many free sands from australia, saudi, africa if singapore can figure a way to get it.....their desert full of sand... tongue.gif

could be, who knows one day.

Please accept my apology if my question is too sensitive for some people. notworthy.gif
I will wrap up the "current issues for concern (water and land)" if it's unfit to be discussed and will start the next area "political development". My dissertation on Political Science covers 4 countries, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Everyone on this site talk abt singapore, that is why I tried to get input from here. It's ok if anyone doesn't feel comfortable to discuss. nod.gif

stupid stuffs are also costly la, last time had gf at least my gf shared expenses.
agree with you, need to stay together if living in sg..
Having gf in sg, I will see how much you can save.

This is one of cons living in sg too.
Be prepared to be forever alone.

But I always think better having gf with good education like girl in sg than kampong girl in hometown.
At least their parents don't ask u for money right? Moreover, she can help u to work and share the expenses unless u are living at Australia when gov pays the housewife AUD 800/month
*
i do not agree.
Everywhere, be it msia or sg, having a gf dampen your saving plans abit, but thats life.
in sg, there are plenty sg girls who are not materialistic. In some extend, some sg guys may keep on
complaining all sg girls are materialistic, but its not true. Everyone is materialistic to some extend.
i met many nice sg girls who are very down-to-earth. they do have dreams of getting a rich handsome man,
but they are also realistic to know not everyone can have everything.

in sg, i really dislike those guys who aim for those model looking type, couldn't get the babe and
complain she is bloody materialistic. They should look themselves in the mirror...
can't blame the girl if there are tons of handsome and bloody rich guys going after her right?

Somehow SG girls like white dudes. If the handsome tom cruise or brad pitt look alike it's ok lar but i have seen many hot chics (the ones that could easily win top 3 spot in beauty contest) holding hands wif a super fugly white guy. Dunno why????

02 is the area code for Singapore, just like 03 for Klang Valley, 05 for Ipoh etc. This is known as STD (Subscriber Trunk Dialling) or area call / trunk call. Today, years later, you can still use 02 to call Singapore from Malaysia using Telekom fixed line. Not sure if MY mobile phones can still use STD. No idea if you can still use your SG fixed line to call 03 for KL, 05 for Ipoh etc. SG mobile phones cannot and have to use IDD.

65 is the IDD code for Singapore (International Direct Dial).

+ is the IDD access indicator for mobile phones... basically tells your phone that the next 2 or 3 numbers is an IDD code. Dialling 001 in Singapore and 00 in Malaysia from a fixed line performs the same function. In SG, it's actually cheaper instead to use service provider specific IDD access codes like 018 for Starhub to make IDD calls, rather than + or 001.

SPGs are attracted to expat packages. Fact of life that angmohs in SG are in SG only because their companies pay a premium to bring them here. You seldom find average angmohs coming to Singapore on local pay to do average jobs.

Too bad, What I saw the ang mohs with expat package mostly have hot chic blonde wives.
Blonde galz in sg are not bad, they are mostly pretty what I have met, they have sexy body and legs, really love their legs.

How about ang moh who teach in primary school? expat package? most single ang moh in sg like to have minah gfs, they say minah jambu are exotics..minah jambu what I said is the 'indon maid look'

hahahaha, true, but i also saw very pretty girls go out with normal looking asian guys le.
i think it is just a weird sight only. we will not know whether how long they last, are they escorts,
have they met elsewhere other than sg..

on the other hand, i also find it strange that handsome sg guys happen to be gay, or happen to have
a "fugly" gf. i think its just life..

alternatively, have u seen handsome ang mohs with malay chicks (below average) before? plenty on the streets lasttime,
but getting lesser.. i think they got the "message" when they keep hearing chinese dudes laughing behind their back.
We always call these ang mohs with malay SPGs "newbie expats". since these malay SPGs are normally cheaper than escorts,
its very easy for ang mohs to land a malay SPGs within a week.

thanks for the info. but abit strange why msia choose 02 for singapore when johor is 07.
anyway its not true angmohs in sg are there with a premium. i have quite alot of ang moh frens in sg and i can tell u most of them are earning
not far from sg guys. But yes, quite alot of ang mohs in sg have high flyer jobs like CEO, CFO, COO, Consultant. Their companies are not paying
them a premium. Its just that they are retaining their pay grade in their original currency, when they are transferred to sg. Many are brits, americans.
to round off, u are right, the ang mohs will get a job faster, and more money than us. a white in a company look better than a chinese.
thats what me and my ang moh frens agree. (provided they are good at their work la..)

I don't seem to meet those angmohs like the ones you describe. Same like I don't meet many Malaysians who retire at 50 to Penang, nor do I meet many Singaporeans who cannot afford to retire at 50. I also don't meet many retirees who count their retirement packages in terms of the cost of chap fan.

Long story short, I think you're over generalising again, and yet again, asking other people to explain your narrow observations or else accept them as universal truths.

Same reason why Ipoh is 05 when KL is 03. Instead Penang is 04.

Your assumption is based on having quite a lot of angmoh friends. Mine is based on approving quite a lot of angmoh expat claims and expenses. Expat packages are very expensive. An average expat in Singapore costs my company around US$300K per year, excluding payroll costs.

Honestly still prefer asian boys even after I study overseas hmm.gif There's always the social barrier and I find they like to drink and watch sports, which I don't participate in... And with asian boys no need to always remind them to take off their shoes when they enter a house biggrin.gif
