Any news on engineering company hiring chemical engineers? Or any recommended company? does which university matters in landing a job in singapore? i am from a local malaysia university (Sabah).
*
if someone say "yes...they dun hire local graduates", will u forget abt applying totally? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
Just apply, who cares if it matters or not...even if the chances is only 1% to succeed.
If you are successful, won't it feel nice? thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

H are for ppl previously convicted with child molestation/harassment/rape/abuse... better contact immigration and sought things out fast!!!
*
But I've only molested adult, all above 18. Maybe Malaysia child age is higher??

The passport number of this Sabahan here starts with H but not sure whether it's just coincidence or memang H for Sabahans.
*
Thanks. In that case maybe thats the reason.
I was unable to renew online. I thot it was due to my bad record.
Maybe I try online renewal again next 5 years..

The "H" is for the Sabahan's Passport. Same as the IC starting with H for the old IC. A is for those from Semenanjung. But, new IC, there is no more "H" but for Sabahan, the middle number is 12.
*
Thanks Alvin / Tigerr. Yeap I got a -12- IC number.
It took me last week from 8am to 11am just to submit application, then another 2&half hour to make payment at 1.30pm.
Then waited until 4pm only they say datang besok for collection.
Next day waited for one and half hour (from 7.30 to 9am), see that they couldn't even find the first passport for the first person queing up. Dun think I wana risk next few hours. decided to leave.
Then the next day, waited only half hour and got my passport. phew....
Hence, i dun think i wana be fussy about the alphabet and ask them to change it, and have to wait for few more days. Otherwise cannot come back SG.
Malaysia system really got lot to learn from SG (yea, i know obviously)

If you want to uphold the principle that you are worth so much so much, then, good luck to you to find a job that really can pay you well above all others even though you have no qualification. It is not impossible to find such job but it is just the time matters. It could be next week, it could be the next 6 months and until you feel frustrated as good job with good pay is not easy to come by unless economy is booming and every where is employing staffs. So, now it is the time to prove reality vs principle.... biggrin.gif
*
*sigh*, just like me, low qualification, stuck and can't move.

Don't give up...try again. That stupid recruiter is a real idiot. She doesn't know how to value & appreciate the skills & experience that you have.

Anyone knows of any premium/special bus service that goes directly from Sengkang to Clementi?

Taking MRT + public bus takes about 1.5 hours... I have been searching online with no results. But I know there are special bus services that are not online.

Just a side: Hows the experience with the Singaporean employers with respect to accepting Malaysian Trained university graduates?

Do they accept them without question or it depends on which institution they are from?

Just wondering because i have found local engineering graduates to be sub par compared with oversea trained ones

my company accepts lots of msian uni grads... where they are from determines how much they get... sometimes as high as 40% difference.. well, i cant comment on msian uni/overseas grad but i can comment msians vs sg... a lot of times i find msian grads (both msia uni & overseas) are inferior to sg poly grads at times.. especially work ethics

PKNS in Shah Alam??? I went there on 25th Jan....when i got the queue number....got 450+ people in front of me.... vmad.gif

Straight went out and off i went to Port Klang, but not a good idea also, as by the time i got the queue number, got 200+ people in front and the counter they open is much lesser than PKNS....went to jalan jalan and shopping at GIant and return, only cleared 80+ and still got 120+ people, went to Giant one more round.. mad.gif

Then, return and sit and wait for one hour plus....finally get it registered and wait for payment...and was advised that to collect the passport 2 days later.....

Went to Subang Terminal at first, only to find out that they moved. Wasted my RM 3 parking. vmad.gif

hi ntick,
the best is to stay right next to the office building,

you can stay at bedok resevoir road ranging block 6xx or 13x

then you can opt to walk to work everyday, save lots for transportation..

i am working in kaki bukit road 3

That's why, dont simply advise..... tongue.gif

else, those who go to PKNS building and find out the huge crowd there, sure curse you left right center.... laugh.gif

On normal days, if you go Port Klang, super fast as like nobody.....and Port Klang parking is free...and PKNS, need to pay parking and crowded leh....
